Fortuno Puts Tane to the Test

Level 13 : Blinds 2,500/5,000, 5,000 ante

With two players seeing a final board of 62QAK and about 175,000 in the middle, Daniel Fortuno shoved for 113,500 from the big blind, sending Hiroyuki Tane who was in the hijack into the tank.

After a few minutes Tane opted to fold, showing the Q in his hand while doing so, and Fortuno took down a sizable pot without showdown.

Mantovani Runs into Cowboys

Level 11 : Blinds 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante
Alexandre Mantovani
Alexandre Mantovani

Alexandre Mantovani opened to 22,000 from middle position, leaving just a single 500 chip behind. Luis Zamora then raised to 50,000 from the button, folding out all other players except Mantovani, who flicked in his last chip to put himself at risk.

Alexandre Mantovani: A8 All in
Luis Zamora: KK

Zamora pulled way ahead with top set on the K79 flop leaving Mantovani needing running cards to preserve his tournament life. The 2 turn left Mantovani drawing dead and after the 4 river he made his exit from the tournament area while Zamora claimed the last of his chips.
