Matei Calls Saliba's Bluff

Vivian Saliba opened to 3,000 in the hijack and was quickly three-bet to 7,100 by Alexandru Matei on her left. Saliba called to the J♠K♠A♥ flop.

Saliba checked to Matei, who continued for 3,500 and the call was made. Both players then checked the 2♥ turn. After the dealer revealed the 5♣ river, Saliba bet enough to cover Alexandru Matei's stack of around 38,000

Matei went into the tank contemplating a decision, taking a few minutes before making the call.

Saliba tapped the table as she showed 10♣10♦ for a pair of tens. Matei then turned over A♣Q♣ for top pair, good enough to double his stack and leave Saliba short.
