French and Barta both checked over to Tarcau, who slid out a bet of 2,500. Both opponents found the fold, as Tarcau added a small but necessary pot to his stack.
The first of four starting flights of the €560 Main Event has reached 100 entries, with almost four full levels of action remaining on Day 1a.
Thursday will see Day 1b take over the 888 Poker Room, followed by Day 1c and the turbo Day 1d on Friday.
Late registration remains open until the start of Day 2 on Saturday.

The completed board showed Q♥2♥6♠4♦3♣, and action heads-up between Cristian Tabac and Marius Gicovanu.
Tabac slid out a bet of 21,000, leaving his opponent in the tank. After a few minutes, Gicovanu decided to lay his hand down as Tabac added to his growing stack.
Andreas Popa opened to 2,200 from under the gun and was called by Iosif Robert in the hijack. An opponent on the button then three-bet to 7,500, with both Popa and Robert making the call.
Popa checked the 7♠6♣8♥ flop before Robert tossed out a bet of 7,500. The button quickly folded, while Popa also slid his hand into the much and Robert took down the pot.

Dominick French opened to 2,000 on the button and was three-bet by Dumitru Barta in the small blind to 8,000. French made the call before the dealer spread out the 2♣4♦9♥ flop.
Barta continued by leading out for 6,000 before French moved all in for 45,000. Barta took a few moments and asked the dealer for a count, but ultimately made the fold.
French turned over 10♠2♠ for bottom pair as he raked in the chips.
Andrei Ciuca opened to 1,700 from early position and was called by Luc Bazley in the big blind.
Both players checked the 7♠A♠K♥ flop, with Bazley tapping the table again after the Q♠ turn.
Ciuca slid out a bet of 1,500, taking down the pot as Bazley playfully slid his cards to the dealer one at a time.
Ion Naicu opened to 1,600 run early position and found a trio of calls from Adrian Constantin on his left, Stefan Hurjui in the small blind and Dragos Anton in the big blind.
All four players checked through the Q♠4♦8♠ flop, with action checking to Constantin after the Q♣ turn. Constantin fired 2,000, with Hurjui the only caller.
Hurjui checked once more on the 5♠ river, but the trap brought no additional value as Constantin checked behind. Hurjui showed Q♦8♦ for a full house. "The nuts," he told his opponents while raking in the chips.
