Pair Good for Evans
Level 1
: Blinds 100/100, 100 ante
Andrei Coca opened to 300 from the cutoff and was called by Martin Paul on the button. Brendan Evans came along in the big blind to see the 8♦7♦5♥ flop.
Evans led out for 600 and both opponents called. The dealer revealed the 2♦ turn, where Evans checked.
Coca fired a bet of 1,100 into the middle, with Paul and Evans tossing in the call. Evans checked again on the K♠ river, with Coca doing the same.
Paul bet 1,300, resulting in a call from Evans and a fold from Coca. Evans showed 10♦8♥ for a pair of eights, good enough to take down the early pot as Paul mucked.
