After an exciting opening week of action at 888poker LIVE Madrid, it’s time for the real fireworks to begin. The €888 Main Event has reached Day 2, as the remaining field combines into one room at Casino Gran Via with the top prize of the series up for grabs.

Players are currently competing in the last chance Day 1d turbo flight, while late registration remains open until the start of play at 5 p.m. local time. A total of 377 entries were made over the first three days of action, with the remaining 117 players bringing their stacks into Day 2.

The chip leaders of each day so far occupy the top three spots on the leaderboard, with Italy’s Paolo Boi returning to his seat with 134 big blinds after dominating Day 1a. Federico Estrada is next with 492,000 chips, good for 123 big blinds after topping the Day 1b field. Meanwhile, the top Spanish player is Nacho Martin, who led the way on Day 1c and is the only other player with more than 100 big blinds.
