Paiva Takes Massive Lead as Tavares Bluffs Off Piles

Small blind Terelle Tavares raised to 225,000 once it had folded to him. Vitor Paiva called in the big blind, and did so too when Terelle bet 350,000 on the J♥4♦6♥ flop.

Tavares sized up to 600,000 on the 5♦ turn, but Paiva stuck around and called. Tavares then quickly completed his triple barrel by effectively shoving for a massive 1,740,000 on the 6♣ river.

Paiva wasted no time in calling with A♦6♦ for trip sixes, royally beating the Q♦7♦ of Tavares to secure a massive double-up.

Tavares, meanwhile, who was the chipleader at the start of the final table, was left with just over 13 big blinds.
