"GoFighTer" Eliminated in 2nd Place ($3,000 WSOP Crazy-8's Package + $1,050 Main Event Qualifier Ticket)

Level 14 : 350/700, 85 ante

And just like that, the Champion of Champions Event was over. Belarusian "GoFighTer" moved all-in from the button with {Q-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds} and was called by "trojanmouse" holding {K-Clubs}{10-Clubs} in the big blind.

"Trojanmouse" got the best of it on the {10-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{6-Hearts} flop, but the turn {9-Diamonds} gave his opponent a massive 20 outs to improve to the best hand. The river {3-Clubs} wouldn't do it, however, and thus "trojanmouse" becomes the Super XL Champion of Champions 2017.

"Ti0373" Eliminated in 9th Place

Level 8 : 100/200, 25 ante

"Makuherra" made it 400 to go from middle position and Russian player "Ti0373" moved his stack of 5,056 to the middle from the button. Fabrizio "DrMiKee" Gonzalez reraised to 9,612 from the small blind, and "Makuherra" decided to let go of his hand.

"Ti0373"; {10-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds}
Gonzalez: {A-Diamonds}{K-Diamonds}

The Russian needed some help from the virtual dealer, but was in dire straits already after the {A-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{3-Clubs} flop. The {A-Hearts} on the turn decided the pot and after the {6-Spades} on the river, "Ti0373" was eliminated in 9th.

Renato "Curioso24" Lezama Nuñez Eliminated in 14th Place

Level 4 : 40/80, 8 ante

In the very last hand before the break, "Ti0373" raised under the gun to 160, and a short-stacked Renato "Curioso24" Lezama Nuñez made the call out of the big blind. Nuñez then proceeded to check-raise all-in for his remaining 813 chips on the {2-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds}{9-Clubs} flop, and the Russian made the call.

Nuñez: {8-Spades}{10-Spades}
"Ti0373": {A-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}

Nuñez was looking to improve to a straight or a pair to best the Ace-high flushdraw of his opponent, but neither the {J-Clubs} on the turn, nor the {3-Hearts} on the river was good for the Peruvian, and he hit the rail in 14th place.

"Trojanmouse" Scores Early Double Knock-Out

Level 2 : 20/40, 4 ante

After running into top two pair in the previous hand Germany's "b.szaszko" was left with just 641 chips. He put them at risk from middle position, before "trojanmouse" in the very next seat made the call. Finland's "MrBester" moved in over the top from the button, and "trojanmouse" called quickly.

"Trojanmouse": {K-Hearts}{K-Diamonds}
"MrBester": {Q-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}
"b.szaszko": {A-Clubs}{5-Hearts}

"Trojanmouse" was a hefty favorite to score the double knock-out, and with the board running out {2-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{2-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{8-Spades}, that was exactly what happened. 16 players still remain in this Champion of Champions Event.
