Main Event Recap

The total prize pool easily met the $500,000 guarantee, coming in at $504,310 with the top 207 places paying out, with a min-cash good for $554.

It took close to seven hours of play before the money bubble was reached and breached, with "HiroNakamura" the last player to depart empty-handed.

"Jesusisback" ironically wouldn't be, becoming the first of the paying casualties after falling at the hands of the chip leader at the time, the United Kingdom's "Browne118", during the same hand-for-hand part of the tournament that saw "HiroNakamura" make his exit, though being as "Jesusisback" had more chips than the former, they earned a min-cash.

Notables to come up short of the cash included XL Inferno High Roller runner-up "Rocket_Aces, and 888poker Ambassador Martin "MJacobson888" Jacobson.

Another 888poker Ambassador, Dominik "888Dominik" Nitsche faired better, making the money, where he finished i8n 121st place for an $806 payday.

Other notables to enjoy a deep run but come up short of the final table included XL Inferno High Roller champion "HSV_Gandi" (92nd for $958) and Roman "EyeofSkadi" Matveychuk, who departed in 29th place for a $1,664 payday, closely followed by one-time frontrunner "Browne118" who busted in 28th place for the same amount.

It took a further five and a half hours to reach the final nine, with the departure of "pro100plr" in 10th place for $4,236 guaranteeing all nine remaining finalists a $5,446 payday.

It was eventual winner "junijuniorz" who brought a chip lead they would not relinquish into the final nine, extending this early on minutes into the first final table level played with an exciting double elimination.

The hand in question saw "yamatasula" and "KoneKontoen" move all-in pre-flop with pocket nines and pocket eights respectively, with "junijuniorz" waking up in the big blind with ace-king and running out four to the wheel straight to climb to over 30-million in chips - almost double that of next closest rival "KofeBryant".

"junijuniorz" also took the next scalp, sending "SouTheMan" to the virtual rail in 7th place for a $14,372 payday a level later, waking up with ace-queen suited when the former got the last of the chips in with ace-seven offsuit.

The United Kingdom's "ValVenis120" was the next casualty, falling at the hands of "9salute46" after the latter tried to steal the blinds with nine-six suited. "ValVenis120" defended the big blind with ace-king but "9salute46" paired their six to bring the table down to five, with "ValVenis120" cashing for $19,163 for sixth.

The next 15-minute level played saw Argentina's "lapachuga4" depart, busting at the hands of the United Kingdom's "JBHInfinity".

"JBHInfinity" did not get to put those chips to much use, however, falling later that level to a rampant
"junijuniorz". "JBHInfinity" committed the last of their chips with ace-jack of diamonds and ended up racing against the pocket nines of "junijuniorz", with the latter flopping a set on the sweatiest of sweaty flops, which also saw the Brit flop the nut flush draw. Blanks on the turn and river saw "JBHInfinity" cash for $32,780 for fourth and "junijuniorz" scoop up close to 70% of the total chips in play.

The Swede earned the next scalp, with "9salute46" getting short before committing their last 13-million in chips holding ten-eight offsuit with blinds at 350,000/700,000 with a 87,500 ante. "junijuniorz" made the call with king-queen, which held to take play heads up.

It took a further two 15-minute levels for "junijuniorz" to finish the job, hitting top pair with king-jack for the final hand and firing every street and rivering trips, with "KofeBryant" hitting second pair with ten-nine and calling all-in on the river for their tournament life.

That concludes all the action, but you can see a replay of all the final table action via the live stream tab at the top of the page. Stay tuned to PokerNews throughout the rest of the series for updates on all of the events.

"KofeBryant" Eliminated in 2nd Place ($60,618)

Level 46 : 500,000/1,000,000, 125,000 ante

After some back and forth heads-up play, "KofeBryant" could not scale the treacherous slopes of "junijuniorz" mountainous chip-stack and had to settle for the $60,618 on offer for second place.

When the final hand played out, it went through the streets, with "junijuniorz" min-raising to 2,000,000 on the button and "KofeBryant" making the call.

The {k-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{3-Spades} flop saw "KofeBryant" check the action over to "junijuniorz", who fired out a bet of 1,402,500, which was called to swell the pot to 7,055,000 and bring in the {a-Spades} turn.

"KofeBryant", with 17,235,340 behind, checked once more, and "junijuniorz" loaded up another barrel, this one a hefty 4,145,300, which was called again.

The {k-Spades} river completed the hand, and the tournament, with "KofeBryant" checking for the third time, and "junijuniorz" putting the former all-in with a shove for over 60-million in chips.

"KofeBryant" made the call with {9-Hearts}{10-Diamonds} for the flopped second pair, but could not bst "junijuniorz" {k-Clubs}{j-Diamonds} flopped top pair and rivered trips.

"KofeBryant" banks $60,618 for his runner -up finish, while "junijuniorz" earns the lions share of the prize pool and claims the XL Inferno #32 prize pool for a top prize of $85,177.95.
