The XL Retro series on 888poker has been ongoing for a couple of weeks now, and it all comes to a close with the $500,000 guaranteed Main Event starting today. The $250 buy-in event gets going at 15:00 ET today after Day 1 flights throughout the series.

There is still the final turbo Day 1 flight in progress as this introduction is being written, but there are already more than 360 players ready to take their seats for Day 2 action. They are nearing 2,100 total entries now, and are just a bit shy of the $500k guarantee at the moment.

Day 2 action kicks off in Level 19 today with blinds at 1,250/2,500/300 and the plan is to play down to the final table today. Among the players in with a chance today are four members of the 888poker Stream Team - Vivian "vivi.888." Saliba, Nick "eastyyy22" Eastwood, David "New_Dave" Gibson, and Josh "Josh_Manley" Manley. Saliba has the biggest stack of the three going into Day 2 with more than 60k, but that still puts her will off the current leader, "IBetX2" from Sweden with 237k.
