"daltonhb" Bags Lead in WPTDeepStacks Main Event with $184,320 Up Top

Level 34 : 25,000/50,000, 6,250 ante

The second day of the WPTDeepStacks London Online Main Event has come to an end, having the original 1,024 entries turn into just the final table of nine. Day 2 began with 175 runners and when the last chance saloon had closed for business, it was Brazil's "daltonhb" sitting atop the leaderboard, having the statistical best shot at taking home the $184,320 first-place money.

The Brazilian shot to the top during the latter stages of the night to accumulate an outstanding 2,270,385 in chips, good for 45 big blinds. Closest behind the leader is fellow-countrymen "jessecesar" who flew under the radar for the better part of the day but managed to end second on the totem pole with their 1,923,008 stack.

The WPTDeepStacks Main Event brought in a total of 1,024 entry slips, creating a $1,024,000 prize pool that just barely slid by the cool million gaurantee that was set. Day 2 had just 175 return, having 117 set for at least a min-cash worth $2,048 with the eventual champion pulling in $184,320 for their win.

Once the bubble popped there was an onslaught of eliminations that lead to some of the favorites taking an exit, including the start of day chipleader "FedorFolds" who flopped a set of ducks versus the top two of "selouan1991". A board pairing card landed on the river, giving both a boat but "selouan1991" had the best of it and "FedorFolds" was sent out the door in 53rd place for $3,277.

The final day will have those nine runners return tomorrow December 21, at 2 p.m. ET to battle it out on the 888poker twitch stream, with cards face-up on a 30-delay. The blinds will resume at 25,000/50,000 with a 6,250 ante, having them continue at 12-minutes in length throughout. Play will not halt until a champion is crowned here in the WPTDeepStacks Main Event, taking home a six-figure score.

The PokerNews reporting team will be here throughout the rest of the event, so tune in here as all of the action unfolds.

"ingeruRO14" Eliminated in 10th Place ($10,572)

Level 34 : 25,000/50,000, 6,250 ante

The action fell on "ingeruRO14" on the button who moved their last 88,425 into the pot and Jerry "Perrymejsen" Odeen snapped it off from the big blind.

"ingeruRO14": {a-Hearts}{4-Spades}
Jerry "Perrymejsen" Odeen: {10-Hearts}{8-Hearts}

"ingeryRO14" was in the lead until a {9-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{2-Hearts} flop fell on the virtual felt, hitting Odeen with a snowman. The {8-Spades} turn gave him trips and "ingeruRO14" was then drawing dead to the {6-Clubs} river card.

Odeen pulled in the pot, eliminating "ingeruRO14" and the final table of nine was then set. All players bagged up and will return tomorrow to battle it out for the title.

"CPU0r" Eliminated in 11th Place ($10,752)

Level 34 : 25,000/50,000, 6,250 ante

"selouan1991" opened from under the gun and "CPU0r" jammed over the top from the big blind for just over 404,000. "selouan1991" called and cards went up.

"CPU0r": {k-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}
"selouan1991": {a-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}

The flop came down {9-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{3-Spades} and not much changed. A {4-Spades} left "CPU0r" with one last chance for romance but the {5-Spades} river bought no love.

"selouan1991" took down the pot and "CPU0r" was eliminated in eleventh place.

"aehsan" Eliminated in 12th Place ($10,752)

Level 34 : 25,000/50,000, 6,250 ante

"seijistar1" raised to 100,000 from the cutoff, "daltonhb" called in the small blind and "aehsan" elected to shove, totaling 147,426. Both players called, bringing down the {a-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} flop where "seijistar1" bet 75,000.

"daltonhb" called and a {k-Diamonds} peeled off on the turn. Both players checked through to showdown, having a {7-Spades} complete the board. "aeshan" showed {q-Diamonds}{j-Clubs} for a missed flush draw and "daltonhb" quickly tabled {a-Diamonds}{10-Spades} for a pair of aces.

"seijistar1" turned over the same hand, revealing {a-Hearts}{10-Clubs} and they chopped it up, leaving "aehsan" on zero chips in the process.

Jordan "BanfieldJ" Banfield Eliminated in 13th Place ($8,704)

Level 33 : 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante

Jordan "BanfieldJ" Banfield shoved 367,074 and only "Panxellito" stuck around to see the cards.

Jordan "BanfieldJ" Banfield: {k-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}
"Panxellito": {9-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}

The classic flip saw an uneventful {j-Clubs}{6-Spades}{2-Hearts} flop land on the table, leaving "Panxellito" in the lead.

A {5-Spades} turn was of no help and Banfield needed some paint but a {7-Hearts} river card was not the ticket. Banfield was eliminated and "Panxellito" pulled in another pot late in the day.

Level 28 : 6,000/12,000, 1,500 ante

"Jefffrr8" raised to 24,000 from middle position and "stevo_87" jammed 24,874. "Gprovinz6" called from the big blind, leaving just 5,401 behind and "Jefffrr8" called as well.

The flop fell {10-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{2-Diamonds} and "Jefffrr8" shoved after action checked to them. "Gprovinz6" check-called and players turned over their cards.

"stevo_87": {a-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}
"Gprovinz6": {j-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}
"Jefffrr8": {5-Spades}{5-Diamonds}

Nickels were leading the way and a {7-Spades} left it so. A {2-Hearts} river cemented it for "Jefffrr8" who knocked out two in the process as the final few tables draw near.
