Congratulations to "DosPoochies" on Taking down the WPTDeepStacks High Roller for $80,000

Level 27 : 6,000/12,000, 1,500 ante

It took just under six hours to crown a champion in the WPTDS #27 - $200,000 High Roller here in the WPTDeepStacks London Online series on 888poker. When the dust settled it was Canada's "DosPoochies" reigning supreme, taking home $80,000 for their victory after topping a 38 entry field.

This is the biggest logged cash for "DosPoochies" online, who seems to be on a constant tear this year after cashing for a combined $116,000 in the Big Shot series, along with a $21,300 cash in the first WPTDeepStacks event. "DosPoochies" added a dub here to top-off a solid year for the Canadian.

The champ began the final table near the middle but quickly catapulted to the top, where they ran over the table en route to a victory. The final three saw chips fly between them but "DosPoochies" cemented the win after knocking out "MBTCLOVE" and "shitakemushu" back-to-back to hands, punching out for the day with a hearty paycheck.

"DosPoochies" Takes It All

The WPTDeepStacks High Roller began with just 16 to start the day and unfortunately didn't pick up much momentum as the total only hit 38 by late registrations end, falling short of the $200,000 guarantee. Only 19 of those entries were left for a shot at the title and just five were to hit a payday worth a minimum of $16,000, with the eventual champion taking home $80,000.

Shortly after the end of late registration, "DosPoochies" fell near the bottom when "railerita" took home the better end of a flip. That didn't stop the Canadian who bounced back quickly to a stack good enough for sixth on the leaderboard when the final table hit.

The first three fell quickly and it was none other than "DosPoochies" popping the bubble. "varonislv" shoved a pair of tens from the small blind and ran into the pocket aces of "DosPoochies" which burst the bubble, sending "varonislv" out the door.

The Canadian then shifted into overdrive, dropping the next four players with"MBTCLOVE" and "shitakemushu" falling in back-to-back hands to stamp the win for "DosPoochies" who saw very little resistance en route to victory.

"shitakemushu" put up a valiant effort throughout the day, but in the end, the Canadian was running too well and "shitakemushu" had to settle for a respectable $54,000 payday as the runner-up finisher.

The PokerNews live reporting team will now warp-up for the night, returning tomorrow for coverage on the Main Event, so tune in as all of the action unfolds.
