Players Warm Up for $100,000 Marathon

The 2021 888Poker WPTDeepStacks London is now in full swing, and on deck for today is WPT DS #9 - $100,000 Marathon. The $525 buy-in gets underway at 1 p.m. eastern time, and will run until all the chips are in front of one player.

Action starts at 40/80/10 with 12 minute blind levels and that continues throughout the day. Players have four hours to get into the game, and can re-enter up to three times during this period in the event they lose all their chips.

This is the ninth event in the WPTDeepStacks London series, and PokerNews has already brought you some of the action. In the opening game, WPT DS #1 - $200,000 Opening Event, Latvia's "i2out" took down the big prize for more than $40,000, and a few days later, "PerfectShade" took down the WPT DS #5 - $100,000 High Roller for $32,000 after a final table that included three 888poker ambassadors.

"Samarius" Turns Top Set

"Samarius" opened the betting to 440 early, and "Artistelis" called from the button, as did "Kai012" from the big blind. It checked to "Samarius" on the flop and they bet 1,100. Only "Kai012" called to the turn where they check-called for 2,200. They check-called the river for 6,600. "Samarius" rolled over pocket aces for the turned set, and "Kai012" mucked their hand.
