A bottom two pair versus top two pair cooler left Scott Davies with five big blinds. On the following hand, Davies shoved that short stack, and Tom Cage made the call.
The runout was more than enough for Cage to seal the elimination, with a full house coming in on the river. Davies finished in 17th place.
Elsewhere in the room, Scotty Yarnell was eliminated a few hands previously, going out in 18th place.
Craig Disalvo, who started the day on 17 big blinds, is now sitting on an 80 big blind mountain after knocking out two opponents, including Day 1a chip leader Shawn Daniels.
Disalvo, Daniels and Rudy Wusstig went all in three-ways preflop, with Disalvo going into the hand with the biggest stack of the three.
Already in great shape when the cards were turned over, Disalvo left his opponents drawing dead when the hit the board, giving him quad kings. The turn and river were just a formality, and Disalvo is now among the chip leaders.
Craig Disalvo and Valerie Hanley got all the chips in preflop, with Hanley having Disalvo well covered.
Disalvo had the better hand preflop and improved to a pair of jacks on the flop. The pair held through the river, and Disalvo still has life.

Majid checked and Klein continued for 25,000 on the turn, with Majid calling.
Majid checked again on the river, and Klein went all in, with Majid making the call for his remaining stack. Klein turned over for trip kings, sealing Majid's elimination and sailing into the chip lead early in the first level of Day 2.
Loren Klein has resumed his aggressive style from the end of Day 1b, adding to the stack in one of the first hands of the Day 2.
