Laidlaw Moving Away

Level 22 : 10,000/20,000, 2,000 ante

Daniel Laidlaw has just won another pot to move his stack well over one million in chips. The hand question saw Jonathan Bredin and Laidlaw go to showdown on a {3-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}{q-Clubs}{4-Diamonds} board. There were checks from both players on the flop and turn, then Laidlaw bet 85,000 on the river. Bredin called and then had to muck his {5-}{5-} at the sight of Laidlaw's {4-Hearts}{4-Clubs} for a rivered set.

Lee Doubles Through Laidlaw

Level 22 : 10,000/20,000, 2,000 ante

Daniel Laidlaw had recently kicked things up a gear with some fierce aggression, especially from the small blind into Chiu Lee who seemingly had no answers from the big blind.

That changed recently when Lee finally found a hand. Laidlaw shoved the small blind with {10-Hearts}{5-Hearts} and Lee made the call for his last 177,000 with {a-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}.

Both players paired the flop, but the board of {10-Spades}{8-Clubs}{q-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds} left Lee to double through to around 380,000. It’s only a flesh wound for Laidlaw who still has around 1 million chips.

Bredin Gets Some Back

Level 22 : 10,000/20,000, 2,000 ante

Jonathan Bredin was ont he button when he opened it up to 40,000. Daniel Laidlaw called out of the big blind and the dealer spread out a {7-Clubs}{q-Clubs}{10-Diamonds} flop. Laidlaw check-called a bet of 39,000 on the flop and then both players checked the {6-Diamonds} turn. The {a-Diamonds} river would see Laidlaw check and Bredin bet 49,000. Laidlaw called and then mucked when bredin showed {a-Spades}{3-Hearts}.

Laidlaw Bleeds

Level 23 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante

Daniel Laidlaw has just bled some chips over the last couple of orbits as he continues to stay aggressive. Along with folding out of the blinds multiple times, Jonathan Bredin three-bet jammed on him once and Laidlaw folded. Laidlaw also folded to a flop bet from Bredin in a hand where they took to a {a-}{a-}{k-} flop. Laidlaw also lost a small pot to Chiu Yeung Lee when he folded to a bet on a {3-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{4-Clubs} flop.

He is still the chip leader.

Bredin Back on the Move

Level 23 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante

Chiu Yeung Lee tried to change things up with a limp from under the gun. Jonathan Bredin was having none of it as he popped it to 60,000. Action folded back to Lee, who made the call and they saw a flop of {10-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}{9-Clubs}.

Lee again tried something different, leading for a minimum 24,000. Again Bredin raised the price, this time making it 70,000 to go. Lee thought for a few minutes before giving it up as Bredin continues his comeback.

Laidlaw Back on Top

Level 23 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante

The momentum has swung back in favour of Daniel Laidlaw in one of the biggest pots of the day. Laidlaw opened the button to 48,000 before Jonathan Bredin three-bet to 80,000 from the big blind. Laidlaw called and the flop landed {a-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}{2-Hearts}.

Bredin led out for 88,000 and Laidlaw quickly called as the {4-Hearts} appeared on the turn. Bredin slowed down and checked but Laidlaw kept up the pressure with a bet of 125,000. Bredin matched the bet and the river {10-Diamonds} arrived.

Bredin checked and Laidlaw announced himself all in. Bredin thought briefly but announced a fold before flashing {a-Clubs}{9-Spades}. Laidlaw climbs to 970,000 and back into the chip lead as Bredin dropped to 420,000.
