Marsland Rockets as Rubie Drops

Level 16 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante

We caught the action with Brendon Rubie opening the pot to 10,000. Dale Marsland then re-raised to 21,500 and was met with a re-raise to 48,500 almost instantly. He made the call to see the flop come down {5-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{7-Spades}. Marsland checked as Rubie counted out a bet of 51,000 and slid it into the middle. Marsland thought for a moment before committing his 201,000 chip stack into the middle, and Rubie snap called.

Rubie: {K-Spades}{K-Hearts}
Marsland: {A-Diamonds}{A-Clubs}

The turn and river fell {9-Spades} and {7-Diamonds} to see Marsland move up to 500,000 in chips as Rubie drops down to 30,000 in chips.

Khouiss Beats Marsland

Level 16 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante

With the flop reading {7-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{10-Hearts}, Dale Marsland led out 30,500 and Sam Khouiss called. The turn produced the {3-Diamonds} and this time Marsland checked. Khouiss was quick to bet out 30,000 which Marland called instantly. The river fell the {Q-Clubs} and again Marsland checked. Khouiss moved all in putting the pressure right back on Marsland.

“Come on, I’ve been showing premiums all day,” tempted Khouiss.

Marsland made the call, only to muck his cards when Khouiss tabled his {Q-Spades}{10-Spades}.

Martin Kozlov Eliminated in 36th Place

Level 17 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

Two players have recently hit the rail. We missed Cathal Shine being eliminated in 37th place before the break, but we were able to catch the bust out of Martin Kozlov in the first hand back.

Kozlov committed his last 57,500 pre flop and had one caller as the board ran out {J-Hearts}{9-Spades}{10-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{K-Clubs}. Unfortunately Kozlov’s {A-Clubs}{2-Clubs} was unable to better his opponent {8-Clubs}{8-Hearts} as he was eliminated from the tournament.

Big Stacks Rumble

Level 17 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

The hand started with a player under the gun opening to 12,000. Adam Carlton and Iori Yogo both called to see the flop come {2-Clubs}{7-Spades}{3-Spades}. Iori Yogo checked from the big blind, before his oppoentn conituned with a bet of 15,000. Again, both players called as the {6-Hearts} fell on the turn. This time they all checked to see the {Q-Hearts} complete the board.

Yogo checked as did the other player in the hand, before Carlton counted out a bet of 43,000 and threw it into the middle. Yogo called, as the other player thought for a minute before releasing his hand.

Carlton tabled {A-Spades}{Q-Spades} for a pair of queens to take down the pot as Yogo’s cards were thrown into the muck.

Divkovic Takes the Lead

Level 17 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

The biggest hand of the night just occurred between Dejan Divkovic and Dale Marsland. Marsland opened from middle position before Divkovic raised to 34,000. Marsland then pushed in 73,000 and Divkovic thought for a moment. He then counted out a re-raise, and slid in 134,000 in chips. Marsland didn’t hesitate, announcing all in, and committed 464,000 in chips into the pot. Divkovic sighed, before making the call for his last 416,000.

Divkovic: {A-Hearts}{K-Clubs}
Marsland: {a-Clubs}{Q-Hearts}

Big slick was all that was needed as the board ran out {J-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{6-Spades}{3-Hearts}{2-Clubs} to see Divkovic jump to 830,000 in chips, and see Marlsand crumble down to only 48,000 in chips.
