Hyeong Wook Choi will start Day 2 as the chip leader

Welcome back to the Crown Casino! We are here for Day 2 of the 2015 ANZPT Melbourne Main Event. The dust has settled on two huge Day 1 flights and now the record-breaking 520-player starting field is down to 241.

Leading the way is Hyeong Wook Choi. A big Day 1b saw Choi amass a stack of 131,100. Chua will begin the day ahead of Day 1a’s chip leader Min Jae Park with 113,500.

There are dozens of notable players with plenty of chips including players from Day 1b like Danny Boxell (107,100), Luke Brabin (94,200) and Ivan Zalac (92,800) along with Day 1a players Graham Cowan (100,300), Tristan Bain (85,200) and Liam O’Rourke (85,200).

Some of the other still alive and kicking include Ben Savage (87,200), Rory Young (75,000), Minh Hau Nguyen (73,000), Aleks Brkovic (67,100), PokerStars Team Pro Chen-An Lin (60,900), Stevan Chew (58,700), Ryan Hong (57,000), Dean Blatt (43,800), Luke Edwards (38,500), Billy ’The Croc’ Argyros (33,500), Michael Gizzardi (33,500), Tony Hachem (30,100), James Obst (22,100), and 2005 WSOP main event champion Joe Hachem (10,000), just to name a few!

All of the returning players are hoping to keep their chance of claiming a piece of the $1,066,000 prize pool alive. It's the top 63 players who will finish in the cash, which is likely to be reached sometime in the later stages of Day 2.

Be sure to stay tuned to all the live updates from 12:30 p.m. local time as we start moving towards the business end of the action!
