We Know Who Wears the Pants At This Table

Chipleader Andrew Pantling
Chipleader Andrew Pantling
Jeff Dunbar checked a flop of {J-Hearts} {10-Clubs} {4-Diamonds} over to Andrew Pantling, who bet 8,500 and Dunbar called. The turn was the {10-Hearts}, pairing the board. Dunbar checked again and Pantling followed with a check as well.

The river was the {5-Spades} and Dunbar bet out 7,000. After some thought, Pantling moved all in, to which Dunbar quickly folded and shook his head. The chip leader Pantling surely knows how to control his table.

Hocken Busts Another

Paul Hocken raised to 6,000 from late position and then called a shove of 22,500 from an opponent. Hocken held {K-Clubs} {Q-Clubs} and his opponent {K-Spades} {8-Clubs}. The board ran out clean for Hocken, {J-Diamonds} {3-Clubs} {2-Spades} {5-Spades} {6-Hearts}.

After eliminating Joe Hachem, Hocken has steadily been able to build his stack to 90,000.

Kiwi G Doubles Up

Graeme "Kiwi G" Putt
Graeme "Kiwi G" Putt
Graeme "Kiwi G" Putt was all-in after another player moved all in for 16,500. Putt turned over pocket queens and was up against his opponent's pocket fives.

The board ran out {K-Hearts} {J-Diamonds} {10-Clubs} {2-Clubs} {9-Diamonds} and Putt doubled up to around 25,000.

Grant Levy mentioned that he picked up a tell and felt it was right to fold his A-Q. "I would've flopped the stone nuts," he said.

A Miracle River... Or Not

Joe Hachem - Eliminated
Joe Hachem - Eliminated
From the button, Joe Hachem moved all in with a short stack. In the big blind, Paul Hocken looked down at {A-Hearts} {Q-Clubs} and made the call, having his opponent barely covered. Hachem tabled {K-Hearts} {10-Hearts} and was trailing in the hand for his tournament life.

Both players stood to await the outcome of this important pot. With all of Hachem's chips in the middle, he found some salvation on the flop as it came {7-Clubs} {J-Clubs} {K-Diamonds}. The pro picked up top pair and was in good shape to stay alive with two cards to come.

The turn, however, was the {A-Clubs}, vaulting Hocken back in the lead and putting Hachem one step away from the exit once again.

The river brought a big reaction from the table. The {K-Clubs} peeled off, and Hockin yelled, "No!" as Hachem clapped his hands together in celebration, having made trip kings. Wait a second though. The third king was a club, and it was quickly realized that Hockin had made the winning nut flush. The two players had turned their backs on the table, and now they spun back around to see that Hockin had indeed won.

"Thanks for the..." said Hachem, trailing off in disappointment. He wished his table luck and quickly made his way out of the tournament area.

It's left up to Tony now to bring home the win for the Hachem family.

Wall With a Big Call

Stone-faced Wall
Stone-faced Wall
Sreten Cvetkovski fired a big bet of 22,000 on a board of {A-Diamonds} {4-Diamonds} {9-Spades} {7-Hearts} {5-Spades} into Matthew Wall. Wall tanked for a few minutes and then stood up and looked away as he stuck in the call.

Cvetkovski turned over a busted flush draw with {Q-Diamonds} {J-Diamonds}. Wall showed the {A-Hearts} {8-Diamonds} for a pair of aces and the winning hand. Cvetkovski dropped about 35,000 on the hand while Wall built up to just under 100,000.
