Lovelock Gives New Meaning to 'Bubble Boy'

Just before the bubble, Colin Lovelock was in the big blind with just 3,600 chips. Soren Eriksen raised in late position, and action passed to Lovelock. He had two thirds of his chips already in the pot, so he blindly tossed the remaining 1,200 in. Eriksen turned over {Q-Diamonds} {7-Hearts}, and Lovelock still didn't know what he had. He and the rest of the table found out together as he slowly flipped his cards up: {A-Diamonds} {K-Diamonds}

A fine time for big slick, and a fine time for a flop of {K-Spades} {A-Hearts} {5-Hearts}. The turn and river came {Q-Clubs} and {8-Hearts} respectively, earning Lovelock a much needed double up.

A few hands later, he was all in again with {A-?} {9-?} versus {A-?} {6-?} and managed to double once again. His timely bubble salvation earned him a spot in the money, despite being the shortest stack in the room as the bubble burst.
