Is the Building on Fire?

The pace of bust-outs has been relentless during the first hour of play, almost as if players would rather be anywhere but here. Already 40 players have been trimmed from the starting field of 208, almost 20 percent of the total number of players. Obviously this pace isn't sustainable, but it seems clear that many of the the short stacks are willing to jam their stacks in on a gamble.

William Te Jr. is the latest short stack to take that risk and lose. He moved all in preflop with {K-Diamonds} {9-Diamonds} and was called by Masayuki Nagata, who tabled {A-Spades} {J-Spades}. An ace on the flop sealed the deal for Nagata and sent Te to the rail.
