It took only three heads-up hands for a sizable pot to develop. It was a limped pot, with Van Marcus limping the button and Tae Jun Noh checking the big blind. On a flop of {5-Clubs}

, Noh acted first and led out for 50,000. Marcus made the call. When the turn fell {2-Spades}

, Noh fired the second barrel for 100,000. That was enough to chase away Marcus.

was checked to the river where Noh bet out the minimum 40,000. Marcus gave it up and Noh collecs a small pot.

Van Marcus raised it up on the button to 90,000 and Tae Jun Noh made the call. They saw a {7-Hearts}

flop and Noh checked to Marcus who fired out a bet. Before the amount was determined, Noh had quickly folded and Marcus gets one back.

Once again, Van Marcus and Tae Jun Noh were in an unraised pot. The flop came {6-Clubs}

. Noh checked to Marcus, who fired out 55,000, about two-thirds of the pot. Noh then went for a check-raise to 130,000. If it was meant to scare Marcus off, it failed. He quickly called.

The turn was the {2-Hearts}

and Noh seemed to lose interest in continuing to play the hand. He checked; Marcus checked behind. They repeated those actions on the {J-Spades}

river, with Marcus tabling {9-Diamonds}

for a pair of nines and the winning hand.

Tae Jun Noh raised to 80,000 on the button and Van Marcus made the call. The flop landed {5-Clubs}

and Marcus check-called the 60,000 chip bet from Noh.

The turn was the {10-Spades}

and Noh fired again, one of the rare occasions we've seen him double barrel today. The bet was 95,000 and Marcus gave it up as Noh flashed {10-?}

Tae Jun Noh has closed Van Marcus' chip lead to a mere 200,000 chips after winning a huge pot that went to a river showdown. Noh made it 80,000 to go preflop; Marcus called.

Both players checked the flop. With the board showing {10-Hearts}

on the turn, Marcus led out for 115,000. Noh quickly called. The river {7-Hearts}

paired the board and brought a bet of 220,000 from Marcus. Noh looked pained but called anyway. As soon as he did, Marcus rapped the table "good call". Noh showed {10-Spades}

for two pair.

As a result of this hand, Marcus' count dropped to 1.5 million and Noh's increased to 1.3 million.

fell on the turn and again it's checked through. The {10-Diamonds}

was the rvier and Marcus checked for a third time to Noh who put out a bet of 70,000. Marcus thought for a moment before casually tossing out calling chips.

Noh tabled {5-Spades}

and was playing the board as Marcus revealed {K-Spades}

. His king-high played and he collected the pot.

Quick Call by Noh Shuts Marcus Down

In our experience, a quick flop call by an opponent usually indiciates weakness -- either a draw of some kind, or more often a pair that's not top pair. Perhaps Van Marcus realized that as well. He and Tae Jun Noh took a raised flop of {10-Diamonds}

. Noh checked to Marcus, then quickly called when Marcus bet 100,000.
