Rain on Khan's Parade

Hevad Khan eliminated
Hevad Khan eliminated
Two brutal hands quickly sent Hevad Khan to the rail. He was crippled first after making a hero call with ace-king. The pot was raised preflop and taken heads up. Khan opened the {2-Diamonds} {3-Diamonds} {9-Spades} flop for 1,800, but his opponent quickly shoved all in over the top for about 8,500. Khan tanked and reasoned himself into a call with {A-Hearts} {K-Diamonds}. It was a good one; his opponent showed {A-Diamonds} {10-Diamonds}. When the {7-Hearts} hit the turn, Khan was in great shape but he lost the hand when the {Q-Diamonds} hit the river.

That left Khan with about 3,000 chips, which he shoved all in from the small blind a few hands later. The big blind asked for a count before calling with {K-Diamonds} {K-Clubs}. Khan showed {Q-Spades} {8-Hearts} and picked up a big flop, {6-Spades} {8-Spades} {J-Spades}. Unfortunately for him it never got any better than that. The turn {J-Hearts} and the river {10-Hearts} sent him to dinner about a half-hour early.
