George Kassis squeezed and opened the pot with a raise. Action passed to Jason Gray in the blinds, who looked down at and reraised. Kassis moved all in and Gray made the call.
The crowd groaned when the window card was the followed by the and the . The turn gave Kassis a flush draw to avoid elimination, but it didn't hit. The river paired the board . Kassis was eliminated in 13th place, earning AU$19,600.
In a battle of the blinds Tony Basile limped from the small blind before Brendan Edmonds raised to 50,000 in the big blind. Basile then moved all in and Edmonds made the call.

Basile had made a move but it paid off when the board landed giving Basile a pair of sevens which was enough to collect the pot and end Edmonds tournament in 12th place. He was bitterly disappointed but takes home AU$28,000 to ease the pain.
Frank Saffioti and Tony Basile clashed on a flop of . The chips were quickly in the middle as Basile held for top pair with good kicker, but Saffioti had flopped a set with to leave Basile in bad shape.
The turn was the leaving Basile drawing dead as a meaningless hit the river.
Easy come, easy go for Basile as he relinquishes the chip lead, slipping to 620,000. Saffioti is now up to 1.2 million.
The official numbers for the High Rollers Event are in. There were 37 starters which is an excellent result for a AU$15,300 buy-in event. They created a prizepool of AU$555,000 with the payouts as follows:
Play will continue this evening until they reach the money. One player who won't be there is Billy "The Croc" Argyros who lost two big pots before running pocket tens into pocket jacks to end his tournament. With 33 players remaining Andrew Pantling is still out in front with 83,000.
Michael Guzzardi found himself the short stack and needed chips if he wanted to avoid bubbling off the final table. He opened a pot to 55,000 from the cutoff. Action passed to Tom Rafferty in the small blind, who reraised to 218,000, enough to put Guzzardi all in. He called with and found himself against Rafferty's . Rafferty hit top pair, then bricked out the rest of the way .
Guzzardi dragged the pot and doubled up to 460,000. Rafferty's not hurting for chips despite dropping to 1,180,000.
Tom Rafferty raised to 48,000 from the cutoff before Hai Bo Chu bumped it up to 148,000 from the big blind. Rafferty decided to make a stand and shoved all in over the top, forcing a fold from Chu.
Chu slips to 330,000 to be the short stack of the field as Tom Rafferty is now out to 1.55 million.
The virtue of having a big stack is that you can take few more flyers than you're otherwise able with a short stack. That's what Antonio Fazzolari did when Tom Rafferty raised from the small blind to 60,000. Both men checked the flop. Rafferty checked a second time on the turn, bringing a bet from Fazzolari of 100,000. Rafferty called.
