The start of today's play was a little more subdued compared to what we witnessed yesterday when local hero Lee Nelson was eliminated in two hands. In case you missed it, here's what went down...

Ali "The Peppermint Hippo" Khalil has just started to fire up for the day.
We passed him several times watching episodes of South Park on his iPod looking pretty bored, but he's just clicked into gear and eliminated a couple of opponents in the process.
Preflop, Khalil raised to 1,000 with an opponent in middle position making it 5,000 all in. The next player to act re-pushed for 12,000 and Khalil called both. The player with the smallest stack had , the other all-in player had and Khalil tabled .
A flop was just what Khalil needed, and he was able to stay in front through the turn and river.
