Dodds Talks It Up

Preflop, a player in middle position opened to 1,650 and Joel Dodds made the call from late position.

The flop came {3-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{8-Spades} and the opponent fired 725, which Dodds called.

The turn brought the {6-Spades} and the opponent bet 2,1000 which Dodds raised to 5,600. The opponent called moving to the {a-Clubs} river.

On the river the opponent gave a frustrated check, and Dodds moved all in.

While pondering his decision the opponent probed, "How did you get into this tournament".

"I spent a shitload on sats, and then gave up and bought in," was the reply from the Dodds.

The opponent thought some more. "I'm not showing this one either," teased Dodds, "and if you think i'm raising Ace-Eight you're wrong," he added.

In the end the opponent folded and looked generally upset.

"This is why I love live poker, people take it so seriously," said Dodds as he raked in the pot. He has 23,000 chips.
