Torres Drops

Victorino Torres opened to 1,300 from the button with only the small blind making the call as the flop fell {8-Spades}{K-Diamonds}{K-Hearts}.

Both players checked before Torres took a stab of 1,200 when the turn landed the {9-Clubs}. His opponent smooth-called before leading for 6,500 when the river landed the {10-Diamonds}.

Torres deliberated for a few moments before pushing his cards towards the muck as he slipped to 23,000. His opponent however, gladly flashed his {9-Diamonds}{9-Hearts} to provoke a smile from the APPT Macau Champion.

Carle Slips

On a board reading {6-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{J-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{5-Diamonds} with roughly 15,000 in the pot, Mitchell Carle fired out 15,000 at his opponent.

Deliberating for over four minutes - and with the clock called twice - Carle's opponent eventually made the call for his last 10,000.

"You win!" stated Carle tabling his {5-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}.

His opponent tabled his {A-Clubs}{J-Clubs} for a stronger two-pair as the Australian slipped to 29,300 in chips.

On a flop of {K-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}, Sunshine Samson fired out a continuation bet of 1,200 only to have her lone opponent in the hand - Tim English - check-raise to 3,000.

Samson responded by sliding in a stack of purple 500-denomination chips into the pot to signify a raise of 8,700. English committed his last 9,200 and Samson called the additional 500 to put the Australian at risk.

English: {K-Clubs}{j-Hearts}
Samson: {K-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}

The turn and river landed the {2-Spades} and {A-Clubs} to see English sent to the rail as Samson climbs to the chip lead with 48,500 in chips.

With a raise to 700 from an opponent in the cutoff, David Ewing three-bet his button to 2,125.

Once the blinds passed, the original raiser made it 4,200 total only to have Ewing move all in for an additional 11,475. His opponent tank-called to put the Macau-based Australian at risk.

"I'm going home!" uttered Ewing.

Ewing: {J-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}
Opponent: {A-Hearts}{K-Spades}

"Oh, I'm live!" added Ewing as the board ran out {6-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{J-Hearts} to see Ewing spike a pair on the river to double through to roughly 32,000 in chips.

McKenzie Dented

"Man! Why couldn't a nine fall!"
"Man! Why couldn't a nine fall!"

With an early position raise to 650, Jesse McKenzie made the call from middle position to see a {2-Spades}{J-Clubs}{J-Hearts} flop fall.

Following a check, McKenzie fired out 1,050 with his opponent check-calling before both players tapped the table once the dealer had placed the {10-Spades} on the turn.

With the river landing a second ten - the {10-Hearts} - McKenzie took another stab at the pot with a 2,500-chip bet. His opponent paused for a moment before check-calling.

"I got counterfeited!" stated McKenzie as he tabled his {9-Hearts}{9-Spades}.

However his counterfeit didn't change much as his opponent tabled his {K-Hearts}{K-Diamonds} while raking in the pot as McKenzie slipped to 24,700 in chips.
