Torres Drops

Victorino Torres opened to 1,300 from the button with only the small blind making the call as the flop fell {8-Spades}{K-Diamonds}{K-Hearts}.

Both players checked before Torres took a stab of 1,200 when the turn landed the {9-Clubs}. His opponent smooth-called before leading for 6,500 when the river landed the {10-Diamonds}.

Torres deliberated for a few moments before pushing his cards towards the muck as he slipped to 23,000. His opponent however, gladly flashed his {9-Diamonds}{9-Hearts} to provoke a smile from the APPT Macau Champion.

Straight for Carle

Four players limped in to see a {2-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{6-Diamonds} flop fall.

The blinds checked, as did the first limper, before David Ewing fired out 1,100 from the cutoff. Mitchell Carle made the call from the small blind before the other two players folded as the {8-Hearts} landed on the turn and both players checked it through.

The river landed the {9-Hearts} and once Carle checked, Ewing fired out 2,300. Carle paused for a moment before bumping it to 7,000 with Ewing making the call.

Carle tabled his {7-Spades}{4-Spades} for a straight to collect the pot and move to 33,000 as Ewing slips to 22,000 in chips.

Grigg Dips

Four players committed 1,100 preflop - one of which was Tom Grigg - to see a {4-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{3-Diamonds} flop fall.

The action was checked round before Grigg fired out 1,300 when the {5-Spades} landed on the turn with only one player making the call.

Grigg checked the {10-Clubs} on the river, and when his opponent tossed out a bet of 4,500, he made the call only to muck at the sight of his opponent's {A-Hearts}{10-Hearts} while slipping to 16,500 in chips.
