Kai Yat Fam Eliminated in 6th Place (HKD 653,000)

Kai Yat Fam - 6th Place
Kai Yat Fam - 6th Place

Action folded to Kai Yat Fam on the button. He raised all in for 1.3 million. Team PokerStars Online Randy Lew peeked at his cards and then quickly called, tabling the {10-Spades}{10-Clubs}. Fam held the {A-Hearts}{4-Spades}.

The flop came down {J-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{3-Diamonds} and Fam added a pair of fours. Even still, he was behind the tens for Lew.

The {9-Hearts} landed on the turn and the {6-Clubs} on the river. Both of those failed to give Fam what he needed and he was eliminated in sixth place for HKD 653,000.

The last few hands have seen Jimmy Pan shove his short stack all in preflop and pick up the blinds and antes. The most recent action saw Pan shove his stack in and get the call from Fabian Spiedelmann.

It looked like we could see another elimination her in Macau, that is until both players turned over {a-}{j-}.

While Pan had the heart draw to go along with his hand, it would end up being a chopped pot.

Wang Wasting Away to Nothing

Only a few hands after the players returned from their dinner break and there has already been a massive hand.

Zuo Wang shoved all in holding {a-}{10-} and couldn't get there against the {6-}{6-} of Jimmy Pan who now has a much healthier stack. Wang now sits behind a tiny 275,000 and will need a double-up soon or he will be heading home.

Wang Working Back

Zuo Wang has just managed the first of many double-ups he will need to survive. Wang shoved the button holding {7-Diamonds}{9-Clubs} and got the call from Randy Lew on the button who held {10-Clubs}{9-Spades}.

The board ran out {a-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}{7-Spades}{9-Hearts}, the seven on the turn enough to send Wang the pot and keep him alive.

Zuo Wang Eliminated in 5th Place (HKD 809,000)

Zuo Wang - 5th place
Zuo Wang - 5th place

It was looking like Zuo Wang was the next player most likely to hit the rail and that has just become a reality as a recent hand saw Wang bite the dust.

The action started with Wang shoving all in for his last 530,000 and getting calls from both Jeff Rossiter and Randy Lew in the blinds. Both Rossiter and Lew checked on the turn and river as a {7-Spades}{a-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds} board was spread across the felt.

Wang watched on as Lew again checked before Rossiter threw out 700,000. Lew then tanked for some time before cutting down his stack and making it 1,700,000 to go. Rossiter made a quick call and watched as Lew tabled his {q-Diamonds}{j-Spades} for a queen-high straight, enough to trump the jack-high straight with {j-Clubs}{10-Clubs} which Rossiter held.

Wang opened up his {9-Hearts}{9-Spades} and sent them into the muck, a devastating result after hitting a much desired set. Wang goes home in 5th place and receives a respectable HKD 809,000.

With that monster hand, Randy Lew is the new chipleader!
