One for Zheng

Level 9 : 600/1,200, 100 ante

Action folded to Mansour Khorramshahi in the cutoff seat and he raised to 2,500. Dennis Zezyulin called from the small blind and then Jackson Zheng reraised to 8,500 from the big blind. Khorramshahi took a bit and then asked the dealer to please count down Zheng's remaining stack. The dealer was unsure if this was allowed and called the floor. The floor came and instructed the dealer that she was allowed to count Zheng's stack. He had 78,300 behind. Another minute passed and Khorramshahi folded. Zezyulin called.

The flop came down {10-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{9-Hearts} and Zezyulin checked. Zheng fired 6,100 and Zezyulin quickly folded.

Chan Chipping Away

We came to the action with Johnny Chan going up in a hand against one opponent and with a board showing {4-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}{2-Clubs}.

At this point Chan was checked to and then flung out 5,000 and received the call from his opponent. The river was dealt the {3-Clubs} and again Chan's opponent opted to check. Chan casually flicked out another 10,000 and his opponent again called.

Chan tabled his {a-Clubs}{a-Diamonds} and his opponent quickly got rid of his cards as the nice pot went to Chan/.

From the cutoff seat, Johannes Haase reraised to 14,200. Play then folded to Team PokerStars Online Mickey Petersen in the big blind. He reached into the dealer rack after a minute or two and grabbed the all-in button and put it in front of his stack. He was all in for 32,600. Chen folded and Haase called off the remainder.

Haase: {Q-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}
Bouchard: {J-Hearts}{J-Clubs}

Torres Moving Up

We came to the action on Jacky Wang's table with Wang opening the action to 2,600. The play was then on Brian Lovett and he made it 7,700 to go. Two players to Lovett's left was Joaquin Torres and he four-bet to 17,700. Wang quickly got out of the way while Lovett decided to shove all-in.

Torres went deep into the tank before making the call and turning over {a-Spades}{k-Diamonds}, while Lovett held {j-Hearts}{j-Spades}. The board ran out {q-Spades}{4-Clubs}{k-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}, with Torres sending Lovett to the rail, while he now has a very nice stack.

Allan Alive and Well

Australia's David Allan has just seen his stack crack the six-figure mark after starting the day as one of the shorter stacks. A recent hand on Allan's table saw a lot of preflop action as Allan would end up getting his stack all in and have one opponent covered.

Allan: {a-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}
Opponent: {a-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}

The board ran out {q-Spades}{7-Spades}{3-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}, with Allan taking down the massive pot.

Card Marking

Level 9 : 600/1,200, 100 ante

APPT President Danny McDonough has just announced to the tournament room that he has been made aware that two players are intentionally marking cards and he will be disqualifying them from the tournament if it happens again.

He said that we will assume for now that it is happening by accident and that players should be carfeull when handling the cards.
