Gill Doubled Two Players

A short stacked David Lloyd just moved all in under the gun for 15,500, and Oliver Gill called. Stephen Hansen tanked for quite some time, but eventually he moved all in for an additional 46,100. The action was back on Gill, who called rather quickly.

The board ran out {7-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{5-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}, and both Hansen and Lloyd doubled up. Gill was knocked down to 137,500, but in the following hands he managed to chip back up to 150,000.

Kinkade Gets Some Back

Jay Kinkade had a great start to the day, but has since seen his stack fall very low. However, Kinkade has just managed a double up to be relatively healthy.

We arrived at the hand in question with a {10-Hearts}{k-Spades}{a-Clubs} flop out on the felt and with Kinkade checking to his lone opponent, Joel Feldman. A bet of 3,200 was slid onto the felt by Feldman here and Kinkade slowly made a call.

Both players checked the {q-Clubs} turn and a {6-Diamonds} landed on the river. Kinkade thought for a long time here before jamming for 18,500. Feldman thought just as long, but eventually made the call. Kinkade tabled his {a-Hearts}{j-Clubs}, with the straight enough to send Feldman's cards into the muck and scoop up the double.

Hachem and Argyros Argue

There was just a bit of arguing over on Table 33, right behind the PokerNews desk. A hand was in progress between Tony Hachem and Billy "The Croc" Argyros, as a crowd gathered.

Hachem had raised to 3,400 after which Argyros three-bet to 9,000. The action got back to Hachem, who went in the tank for quite some time.

Apparently Argyros was enjoying an ice cream during the tanking, and wanted to dispose the wrapper after he finished. The bin was only two steps away, but the dealer grabbed his hand as he left the table for about a second.

Argyros ordered the dealer to stop, and retrieved his cards before they hit the muck. Hachem wanted a ruling on this move, and it took a minute for a senior supervisor to show up. The supervisor ruled that since Hachem was still tanking, and Argyros' hand wasn't mucked, the hand was still live.

Hachem wasn't pleased, and mucked his cards straight away. The supervisor offered to go into further detail about the ruling, but Hachem declined. "Just let it go," he said as the dealer dealt another hand.

Graham Moving On Up

Jarred Graham is the latest player to soar past 200,000 in chips, managing to eliminate a player holding {a-}{a-} against {q-}{q-}. We didn't catch the action, but we did see the eliminated player leaving the tournament area and Graham was busy raking up his new chips.

Grigg Gets Fancy

Tom Grigg just raised to 3,500, and Vineet Jindal called from the button. The big blind called as well, and three-way they saw the flop.

The flop brought out {3-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{A-Hearts}, and Grigg bet 5,800 after the big blind had checked. Jindal threw in a raise to 12,000 and the big blind folded. Grigg called.

The turn was the {6-Hearts}, and both players checked. On the river the {5-Hearts} hit, completing a flush draw and pairing the board. Grigg checked again and Jindal bet 20,000. Grigg counted out a raise and made it 74,400. Jindal snap-folded, and Grigg took another big pot down.

Chu Grabs The Lead

Haibo Chu just grabbed the chip lead after winning a big pot versus Tam Truong. The board read {4-}{4-}{6-}{6-}{9-} when Chu bet 56,000 with around 35,000 chips in the middle. Truong tanked for a bit, and called.

Chu turned over {9-}{9-} for the nut full house, and Truong mucked.
