Lee Moving Up

Level 2 : 100/200, 0 ante

The hand started with the player under the gun limping into the pot, as did Jason Lee in the cut-off, as well the player in the small blind. Vincent Rubianes raised to 1,350 from the big blind, and was called by everyone but his opponent in the blinds.

The flop came {5-Diamonds}{A-Clubs}{J-Clubs} and all three players checked as the {7-Hearts} fell on the turn. Rubianes checked, before a bet of 1,650 was thrown out by the player to his left. Lee made the quick call, and Rubianes obliged, as the {Q-Hearts} completed the board.

Two quick checks left Lee with a decision, and he casually threw out a bet of 5,700 which was met with back-to-back folds shortly after.

Lim Shakes it Off

Level 2 : 100/200, 0 ante

With the board reading {5-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{7-Clubs}, the player in middle position checked as did Aaron Lim on the button, as the {Q-Clubs} completed the board.

With a flush on the board, Lim’s opponent threw out a bet of 2,700, bringing a shake of the head from Lim. Not impressed by the bet on the river, he mucked his hand, as his opponent exposed the {A-Clubs} to re-assure Lim of his good fold.

Jung Makes the Call

Level 2 : 100/200, 0 ante

Sunny Jung opened with a bet to 1,000, and was called by Akira Ohyama in the small blind, as the flop came down {3-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds}. Ohyama checked, as Jung placed 1,100 into the middle of the table. He was quickly called, as the {A-Diamonds} made its way to the turn. Both players happily checked, as the {2-Hearts} completed the board

Ohyama tanked for a minute, before throwing in a small bet of 675 in chips. Jung looked puzzled, but made the called, as Ohyama quickly mucked his hand into the pot.

First Hand Back

Level 3 : 150/300, 0 ante

We didn’t catch all the action, but on a board reading {6-Hearts}{3-Spades}{5-Hearts}{J-Spades}, both Sunny Jung and his opponent committed all their chips into the middle.

Jung: {5-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}
Opponent: {J-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}

“Well that was quick,” said Jung’s opponent, in the first hand back from the break.

The {A-Hearts} completed the board, sending another player to the rail, as Jung moves up to 31,000 in chips.

Hong Calls it Down

Level 3 : 150/300, 0 ante

The hand started with the player under the gun opening to 600, before being met with a raise to 1,350 from Ryan Hong in the hijack. The flop came down {3-Spades}{6-Clubs}{K-Spades} and Hong called a bet of 1,600, before the {4-Diamonds} showed on the turn. Again, he called a bet of 2,100 from his opponent, as both players saw the river come the {A-Hearts}. Without slowing down, the under the gun player threw out a final bet of 3,000, which was snap-called, as he tabled his {J-Spades}{J-Clubs}. Hong then showed his {A-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds} for a better pair, to scoop the pot, much to the shock of his opponent, who could only shake his head.
