All The Chips

Level 13 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante

With eight tables remaining, it appears that most of the events biggest stacks have been moved to the same table. It will be interesting to watch as these big stacks clash, with just under a level-and-a-half of play to go!

Show Me the Heart

Level 13 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante

With the flop showing {5-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{J-Hearts}, the player in the big blind checked, before the player in the hijack bet out 12,000. Andrew Scott was also in the hand, and called from the button, as did the big blind, before the {8-Hearts} fell on the turn. A collection of checks saw the {k-Hearts} complete the board, as one-by-one they all checked again.

“Look at that board, mannnn!” joked Scott, as he was the last player to check. “Show me the heart,” he added, as the first player tabled his {A-Spades}{10-Spades}. “And you?” he asked, as the other player showed his {J-Clubs}{9-Clubs}. “Yes!” he concluded, as he rolled over his {A-Clubs}{J-Diamonds} for the best hand.

The small pot sees Scott move up to 230,000 in chips.

David's the Man

Level 13 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante

We arrived at the table to see Derek Cheung move all in with the {10-Clubs}{7-Clubs} on a flop showing {6-Clubs}{10-Spades}{5-Spades}, and getting called by David Man, who had the {6-Hearts}{6-Spades}. The board ran out {J-Hearts} and the {5-Clubs} to see Cheung eliminated from the tournament, as Man moves up to 395,000 in chips.

The Last Stretch

Level 13 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante

The remaining players have returned from their breaks, and after a quick colour-up of the 100-chips, play has resumed.

Ryall Doubles

Level 14 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante

The action started with the player in middle position opening to 7,000. The player on the button then moved all in for just under 100,000 in chips, before Tobin Ryall committed his last 19,000 from the big blind. The original player tanked for a few minutes, before releasing his hand.

Ryall: {9-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}
Opponent: {A-Diamonds}{K-Spades}

Ryall was able to hold with his pair, as the board ran out {3-Hearts}{2-Clubs}{2-Spades}{8-Spades}{6-Hearts}.

Scott Has Some Fun

Level 14 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante

We arrived at the table to see the board showing {10-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{5-Spades}{7-Clubs}. Andrew Scott had bet out 14,000 from the small blind, and faced a raise to 43,500. A few minutes had passed, before the raiser called time on Scott.

“You’re calling time?” asked a surprised Scott. “I’ll remember that,” he added.

Scott stepped up from his chair, and looked his opponent up and down, even leaning over the table to get a look at his opponent’s face, who's head was buried in his hands.

“Why’d you call time?” asked Scott. “Can’t hear me now? Anyone in there?”

With a few seconds left in his countdown, Scott made the call, as the dealer produced the {k-Clubs}. Scott checked one last time, then mucked his hand almost instantly, after his opponent slid in a river bet of 54,500 in chips.

“That was fun,” chuckled Scott, who received a blank-faced nod from his opponent.

It Ends When it Ends

Level 14 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante

Even though the tournament needs four more eliminations to make the money, Tournament Director Danny McDonagh has confirmed that even if we burst the bubble or not, the event will stop at the end of this level. That's only 40-minutes away!

Im Still Here

Level 14 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante

With the flop reading {Q-Hearts}{6-Spades}{10-Diamonds}, Vivian Im checked from the big blind, as her opponent on the button bet out 7,000. She made the call, and check-called a bet of 16,500, when the {K-Clubs} fell on the turn. The {2-Clubs} was the last card to fall, and Im checked the final street. Her opponent thought for a minute, before stacking up a tower of multi-valued chips, and dropping them into the pot. The dealer confirmed it was 44,500, and Im began counting her own stack. She cut out the call, and placed it to the side, before continuing to stare down the pot. She eventually made the call, but mucked and tapped the table, when her opponent showed his {K-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}.
