Welcome back to another day in paradise! We are coming to you live from the Philippines for Day 2 of the Pokerstars.net APPT Cebu here at the Waterfront Casino and Hotel!

Over the past two days, 158 players have walked into this casino and plopped down the 100,000 Philippine Peso buy-in for this event. After six levels of play on each day, we are down to just 76 players. Leading the way is Ivan Zalac, who ended Day 1a with 109,100. Following him is Khac Tran (105,900), Sotirios Koutopas (101,800), and the Day 1b chip leader Milan Gurung (99,900).

We also have a handful of notables who will be joining us for Day 2 today. This list includes Choi Young Su (88,700), Chane Kampanatsanyakorn (64,400), Sam Razavi (42,200), Jim Collopy (38,700), and Bryan Huang (19,800), who is the lone Team Pokerstars Pro still alive.

The players will be taking their seats soon, and the cards will be in the air at 12:15 local time. The plan is to play six more levels today, but the staff has said that they will play it by ear if the eliminations come faster or slower than expected. We here at Pokernews will be bringing you the updates all day, so don’t go anywhere!
