After just six levels of play, the final table of the PokerStars.net Asia Pacific Poker Tour Cebu Main Event has been set with Jim Collopy moving up from third place on the overnight leaderboard, to chip leader heading into the final table.
Starting the day with twenty-five players, the action was conservative as we reached the money after three hours of play. Ivan Tan earned himself the title of money-bubble after he moved in with 
and was called by Milan Gurung who had 
. Unfortunately for Tan, the 
would come on the river to send him to the rail.
Although we hit a slight stall in action at several points, there were times when eliminations occurred at a frantic flurry. Christian Friedrich (20th), Ying Zhao (18th), Lingling Teng (16th), Daniel Francis (13th), Kevin Zhang (12th), Milan Gurung (11th) and Andrei Kaigorodtcev (10th) all fell to the rail just shy of the final table of nine.

After coming into the day slightly trailing Daniel Spence, Collopy went on an all-out attack, eliminating players at will. He took out Daniel Francis with a rivered straight, and then out-kicked Kevin Zhang when both players moved all in preflop holding and ace. He took out his third player in a row, when he out-flopped Milan Gurung holding 
, when he was up against 
. He quickly moved up to 750,000 in chips, which towered over his nearest rival, before ending the day with 605,000.
Bawod Hyunshik (528,000), Daniel Spence (450,000) and Anthony Wright (412,000) are Collopy's closest rivals with Jae Kyung Sim (371,000) and Andrew Nguyen (316,000) also in contention as the final nine battle it out for the following payouts.

In the final hand of the day, the action folded around to Magnus Karlsson on the small blind, who looked over at Andrei Kaigorodtcev’s stack in the big blind, before moving all in for around 130,000 in chips. Kaigorodtcev peaked down at his cards, before stepping up from the table, walking in a circle, returning, and committing his remaining 100,000 in chips.

Karlsson was hoping to get a fold from the big blind, and was caught out, smiling cheekily as he turned over his cards. He was rewarded, however, when he flopped top pair to take the lead. Kaigorodtcev received some out on the turn, looking for any heart or an ace on the river to win the hand. The four would not help, as the final player was eliminated, leaving us with our final table.

Wright Bets Big, Wins Big

Jae Kyung Sim made it 20,000 to go in early position, and Daniel Spence quickly called behind him. Action folded to Anthony Wright in the big blind, and he counted out his chips, before grabbing a 20-stack of yellow T5,000 chips, and sliding it into the middle, a three bet to 100,000. Sim got out of the way, but Spence didn't go anywhere. After about 20 seconds of thought, he slid the call in, which prompted Sim to say "woah big pot."
The flop brought all low cards, coming 
. Wright quickly moved all in, and Spence groaned before quickly tossing his hand straight into the muck. After that pot, Wright jumped up to 400,000, while Spence slipped to 360,000.

The action started with Milan Gurung opening to 13,000 from the button, before Jim Collopy raised to 33,000 in chips. With the action back on Gurung, he quickly moved all in for 118,000, and after the dealer counted it out, Collopy made the call.

Nguyen Pushes Allmrodt Out

Andrew Nguyen made it 13,000 to go in early position, and Michael Allmrodt was the lone caller on the button. The flop came down 
, and Nguyen continuation bet to 14,000. Allmrodt thought for about a minute before putting out a min-raise to 28,000. It got back to Nguyen, and after about 30 seconds of thinking, he grabbed a stack of yellow T5,000 chips, and dropped them in the middle, putting Allmrodt all in.
As he has done throughout the day, Allmorodt took his time with his decision, tanking for at least four minutes. Eventually, he folded 
face up, giving the pot to Nguyen, who jumped up to 210,000 in the process. Meanwhile, Allmrodt is where he has been for quite some time now, sitting on the shortest stack in the room with 85,000.

Finally Some Action!

It took about 20-minutes after returning from the break, for some fireworks to occur on both tables.
On Table 6, Daniel Spence opened from the button to 13,000 before Milan Gurung raised to 53,000 in chips. Spence thought for a minute before making the call, as the 
was spread out on the flop. Milan didn’t slow down, throwing out a continuation bet of 55,000, before met with an instant all-in for 330,000 from Spence. He thought for a moment, before mucking his hand.
On Table 9, Andrew Nguyen opened to 12,500 from under the gun, before Bawod Hyunshik Yun raised to 30,000 from the cut-off. Nguyen leaned forward in his chair, eyeing of his own stack, contemplating his next move. He pulled out a stack of 5,000-chips totalling 100,000 and looked like betting them, before announcing all in, for around 400,000 in chips. Yun then waited a minute, before making the call, as both players tabled their cards.

Yun flopped a set and looked in great shape, even though Nguyen had outs to a straight. The turn and river were no help, as Yun double fist-pumped to himself, scooping in the big pot.
