Three Fours For Kim

Level 5 : 200/400, 50 ante

We caught up to find three players looking down at a flop of {8-Spades}{6-Clubs}{4-Clubs}. Kohei Osa was first to act and fired out 1,500 from the small blind. John Kim made it 4,500 to go and the player on the button quickly got out of the way. Osa, however, called to see fourth street.

The dealer rapped the table and produced the {A-Diamonds} on fourth. Osa came out swinging again with a bet of 2,000. Kim moved all in which was a bet for Osa's tournament life. Osa moved his cards to the muck and is now sitting on merely 8,000. Kim, on the other hand, has 35,000 in chips.

Lin Long Gone

Level 5 : 200/400, 50 ante
Celina Lin Hits The Rail
Celina Lin Hits The Rail

Team PokerStars pro Celina Lin has been eliminated from play. We missed the action but she was kind enough to recap the hand for us.

Lin got all of her stack in on a {j-}{7-}{6-} board. Lin held {7-}{7-} for middle set and thought she was sitting pretty. Unfortunately, she ran into a super cooler as her opponent held {J-}{j-} for the only hand to beat her at the moment.

Lin failed to improve on the turn and river and she was forced to see an exit halfway through the first day of play.

Moreno Doubles

Level 5 : 200/400, 50 ante

We got to the table to find Andrew Moreno all in and at risk on a flop of {8-Spades}{3-Spades}{8-Hearts}. Moreno's opponent held {10-Spades}{10-Clubs} and was ultimately behind Moreno's {9-Clubs}{8-Diamonds} for trip eights.

The turn was the {6-Diamonds} and the river the {k-Diamonds}, ensuring Moreno's trips to be the best hand. He was able to double to about 17,000.

Arnett Says Goodbye

Level 5 : 200/400, 50 ante
Kristy Arnett
Kristy Arnett

PokerNews' own Kristy Arnett has fallen.

Arnett has been short stacked for most of the day and after two hours of grinding, she finally got all of her chips in the middle. The small blind opened with a raise and Arnett, in the big blind, decided to go with it.

Arnett: {8-}{7-}
Opponent: {K-}{Q-}

The flop brought {Q-}{6-}{5-} pairing Arnett's opponent but giving her hope with an open-ended straight draw. Unfortunately for Arnett, she bricked out on the subsequent streets and was eliminated from play.

Moreno Slips

Level 5 : 200/400, 50 ante

Just before the break, Andrew Moreno raised to 750 in the hijack and found calls from the players in the cutoff and on the button.

The flop came down {7-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{4-Spades} and Moreno continued for 1,225. The player in the cutoff called before the player on the button popped it to 3,500. After a few moments, Moreno raised to about 14,000 effective. The player in the cutoff folded, the player on the button called all in, and the hands were revealed.

Moreno: {A-Clubs}{3-Hearts}
Button: {7-Hearts}{6-Hearts}

Moreno's double gutter and overcard didn't get there as the {10-Diamonds} turn and {3-Clubs} river secured the pot for his opponent, knocking Moreno down to about 7,000.
