Liu Doubles in Tricky Hand

Level 10 : 700/1,400, 200 ante

Below are some updated chip counts of the faces we recognize. Fan Zhao is among the biggest stacks and there was just some three-way action to the {2-Spades}{9-Clubs}{6-Spades} flop. Shashank Rathi had bet 10,500 and Geng Liu clicked to 22,000 before Zhao asked for the stack size of both opponents. The Chinese opted to fold while Rathi made the call.

On the {2-Hearts} turn, Rathi led for 36,000 and that was enough to put Liu all in. It took quite some time for the shove and Liu even had the dealer cut out the bet before pushing his stack to the middle of the table with {10-Spades}{10-Hearts}. Rathi went into the showdown with {6-Clubs}{4-Clubs} and the {7-Spades} river bricked.

Nielsen Gets Bullied

Level 10 : 700/1,400, 200 ante

The hand started rather innocent with a small raise by Xiaohua Fu from the cutoff and Thomas Nielsen called from one seat over. On the {A-Hearts}{Q-Spades}{K-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{J-Hearts} river, Nielsen bet 18,500 but quickly folded after his opponent announced a raise. The Dane even offered Fu HK$3,000 to show a bluff but there was no reaction to it.

Bao Busts One

Level 10 : 700/1,400, 200 ante

It is not 100% clear whether or not the player eliminated over on table 12 was John Gallagher, but the seat of the Brit is now empty. The cards were already rushed away but Jun Bao had celebrated with {J-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds} after emerging victorious and beating the {K-Hearts}{Q-Hearts} of his table neighbor.

Liu Loses Flip

Level 10 : 700/1,400, 200 ante

Mingqin Liu got his short stack in with the {4-Spades}{4-Diamonds} and was called by an opponent, who held {A-Hearts}{K-Diamonds}. The {A-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts} flop already provided one of the over cards and both turn and river were bricks. The field has been whittled down significantly in the first two hours of play and only 117 players remain according to the latest update on the screens.

Rathi Doubles

Level 10 : 700/1,400, 200 ante

After the previous confrontation with Geng Liu, Shashank Rathi three-bet shoved for 19,500 out of the small blind with {A-Clubs}{Q-Spades} and the initial raiser called with pocket nines. The board ran out {K-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{J-Spades}{10-Diamonds} and the very last community card gave the player from Hong Kong a broadway straight.

Level 11 : 900/1,800, 200 ante

Chane Kampanatsanyakorn open-shoved for 20,400 from early position and got through with stealing the blinds including big stack Wai Leong Chan, who mucked from the big blind. The Malaysian then called a raise to 4,000 and saw a heads-up flop of {A-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{7-Spades}. The action was checked through and same applied on the {10-Spades} turn. Then, the initial raiser bet 4,000 after the {3-Hearts} river and Chan called off to muck when shown {A-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}.
