Baker's Dozen

Level 3 : 150/300, 0 ante

Sydney, Australia's Derek Baker has emerged as the early chip leader here, picking up two big pots without showing down a hand.

He told PokerNews the first one came courtesy of a four-way pot where he floated a couple of bets before making a big check-raise on the river and forcing a fold.

The second came when he joined one caller of a 400-chip raise from the button and the blinds came along for the ride, going five ways to a {q-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{6-Hearts} flop. The original raiser c-bet , making it 650 and everyone called.

The turn brought the {K-Hearts} and when it checked to Baker, he made it 1,200. Only the big blind called. The river was the {k-Clubs} and after the big blind checked, Baker fired again, making it 4,300. The big blind folded and Baker dragged the pot, grabbing hold of the chip lead.
