Bejing, China's Yan Li opened with pocket fours and called when one opponent three-bet.

She manage to make a set on the {10-}{9-}{4-} flop, check-called a c-bet, then check-raised all in when an ace came on the turn.

Re-Entry Not Necessary Yet

Level 4 : 150/300, 25 ante

In a three-way all in before the flop, Ben White had two players at risk with the {A-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs} from the button. The player in the small blind held {K-Spades}{K-Hearts} and Johnjin Kim over-called with {Q-Hearts}{J-Diamonds} in order to re-enter quickly. However, the board ran out {J-Clubs}{Q-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{8-Hearts} and Kim essentially tripled up while the best hand preflop was sent to the rail.

The Champ Is Here...Again

Level 4 : 150/300, 25 ante

Vietnam's Thanh Ha Duong took down the APPT Season 8 Manila Main Event last year at the Metro Card Club across town in dramatic fashion, coming from way behind against massive chip leader Michael Guzzardi to get the job done.

Apparently it's going to take another comeback for Duong to defend his title here at City of Dreams, as he busted his first bullet here in Level 4 and just fired a second one moments ago, taking the same seat he had just left behind.

He was not welcomed in a very friendly way after raising to 750 from the hijack and receiving a call from the player in the big blind. The first continuation bet worth 850 on the {K-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{4-Spades} flop was check-called by his opponent before Duong bet-folded the {A-Spades} turn to a shove.

Park with a Big Stack

Level 4 : 150/300, 25 ante

Picking up the action on the {J-Spades}{5-Clubs}{7-Spades}{8-Diamonds} turn, Handong Jo of Korea risked all his chips with the {K-Spades}{6-Spades} for a flush and straight draw while Park had the {J-Hearts}{7-Hearts} for two pair. The {J-Clubs} river gave Park a full house and he grabbed his burger straight after stacking up the tasty chips.

Muto Doubles Twice

Level 5 : 200/400, 50 ante

A lot of laughter came from table 23 and it was Katsuhiro Muto who doubled up twice, sending one player to the rail as a result and within two consecutive hands. The Japanese first flopped two pair with {A-}{Q-} and benefited from a creative opponent and {2-}{6-} after the latter had turned two pair.

Then, Muto three-bet shoved from the cutoff for around 13,000 in chips and was snap-called by the initial raiser with 12,000 chips and the {A-Diamonds}{A-Hearts}. Muto only had {K-Hearts}{Q-Spades} but somehow got there on the {3-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{K-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds}{2-Spades} board. The table burst out in further laughter and suddenly the Japanese is back in the game.

Zhang Hunts Hunter

Level 5 : 200/400, 50 ante

Joining the action on the {5-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds} turn, James Hunter and Weiyi Zhang checked and the American also checked the {6-Clubs} river. Zhang over-bet the 2,500 pot with 6,000 to go and Hunter gave it some thought before making the call. Zhang flipped over the {A-Clubs}{3-Clubs} for the nut flush and Hunter mucked his {Q-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}.

Duong Coming Back

Level 5 : 200/400, 50 ante

Thanh Ha Duong's comeback is on now as he's up well over the 20,000-chip starting stack once again.

He called a 4,500-chip bet on a {7-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{a-Hearts}{j-Diamonds} board to the turn with 9,000 in the middle already. The river brought the {4-Diamonds} and another 5,000-chip lead from Duong's opponent.

He called again, and when his opponent showed {a-Spades}{10-Spades}, Duong rolled over {a-Clubs}{6-Spades} for two pair to drag the pot.

Manuel Blaschke
Manuel Blaschke

Table three had not been broken, yet the massive stack of Manuel Blaschke was not there anymore and his seat occupied by someone else. It took some time to find the Austrian and he had been moved to table 20, where the current stack has even grown further to become the first player on six digits on Day 1b.
