and that was it for the Korean, time to breathe.
Start-of-day chip leader Dong Il Kim had spent the better part of the first two levels bleeding chips.
However, he picked up a pot moments ago to cauterize the wound. The hand started with a Hai Ha Tran raise to 4,000 that he and Mark Benasa called in the blinds. The flop fell ![]()

and Kim led out for 7,800. Only Benasa called.
They both checked the
turn. But when the
river came down, Kim fired away, making it 24,100. Benasa folded and while Kim is still down close to 80,000 from where he started the day, he appears to be headed in the right direction again.
In a battle of the blinds, Aaron Lim bet the ![]()

On the
river, both players invested 21,000 chips and Kristensen was unable to beat the ![]()
of the Australian.
The stack of Svein Jorgen Kristensen is about to melt after losing a flip to Alex Ward for 16 big blinds. The Norwegian had two under cards to the ![]()

Day 1a chip leader Douglas Olsson has moved up to the top of the counts now on over 260,000.
PokerStars Team Pro Bryan Huang appears to be playing the role of king maker today, as a whack of his chips ended up in Olsson's stack early when the Swede made a flush against him and he was also the one responsible for the sudden bulge in Jessie Leonarez' stack.
Olsson has since chipped up even more, thanks to a few smaller pots, setting up a truly interesting dynamic at the table with Leonarez directly on his left, putting the two biggest stacks in the room side by side.
After the clash with Jessie Leonarez, PokerStars Team Pro Bryan Huang had two other players at risk with pocket nines and pocket queens while holding pocket aces. However, Hubert Siy got there with the queens and stayed in, Huang moved down to 20 big blinds.
Vivian Im is doing much better and slightly increased her already comfortable stack.
Manila's own Jessie Leonarez had pushed all in on a ![]()

board with about 60,000 chips in the pot already, heads-up with Bryan Huang.
He had Huang covered and waited patiently while Huang pondered a call that would be for his tournament life. Not so patiently, a third player not in the hand called the clock.
As the floor turned up and began a one-minute countdown, Huang folded. Leonarez showed ![]()
for bottom set and while Huang was left with under 90,000 in chips, he moved up to the top of the counts.
After a three-way flop of ![]()
![]()
, Kinam Kim and Joachim Chia got their stacks in and were looked up by Adrian Brion. The Filipino held the biggest stack of the three players involved and also had the best hand as well.

The
