2023 APPT Cambodia
Guarantee in the Main Event Already Surpassed
Near the end of level five, the tournament info shows 172 entries to boost the overall attendance to more than 350 entries. This has officially ensured that the $400,000 guarantee is not only met but easily surpassed already with five levels of late registration on Day 1b and the turbo heat 1c still to come.
So far, there are $455,706 in the pot but that number will very likely increase further in the hours to follow.

Hougaard Felted by Nekrasov
Lars Hougaard was all-in for a mere 9,000 before the flop and in dire shape when he revealed the A♣K♥. Evgenii Nekrasov had him crushed with the A♦A♠.
The 7♦5♥2♦ flop left the Dane on the ropes and his elimination was confirmed with the 7♥ turn, before Nekrasov even made aces full on the A♥ river.

Chudapal Gets Morvan to Fold
In a large pot of around 40,000 to the 9♠6♥5♣9♥6♦ river, Siarhei Chudapal wagered all his orange T-5,000 chips, which had the remaining stack of Romain Morvan covered. "Aces?" the Frenchman instantly asked with a smile on the face.
Morvan mulled it over for a long time and then folded. "Come on, show one time," he inquired and wanted to see the cards of Chudapal. His opponent joked back "of course, it was the first time I four-bet you," before dragging in the pot with a big smile on the face.

Wei Jumps to Six-Figure Stack
Some bigger stacks are starting to emerge and one of them belongs to China's WSOP bracelet winner Guoliang Wei. His flopped flush with the 6♣5♣ knocks out an opponent from South Korea, who had put the hopes on A♣3♠ following a K♣Q♣3♣ flop.
The 3♦ turn opened some further outs but the 8♠ river kept Wei's low flush ahead.

On the tail end of a K♣J♦3♣9♠Xx board, Jennifer Cassell called a bet worth 7,900 and was shown a missed draw. She had that beat with the A♥J♥ to win the pot with a pair of jacks, reaching nearly three times the starting stack thereafter.

Nguyen Chips Up; Cowell Adds Some Chips
Duc Thanh Nguyen has steadily built a profit in the last two hours at the tables and added even more chips in a multi-way pot.
He bet the flop and turn of a 10♦5♥2♠7♣ board with the latter being worth 9,000. The second bet was enough to win the pot without resistance.
Nguyen then raised to 1,400 and Jin Woo Kim called. Lewis Cowell three-bet to 6,000 out of the small blind and forced two folds with it.

Vanlerberghe Doubles Through Chen
On the tail end of a heads-up pot between Pete Chen in the hijack and Laury Vanlerberghe in an early position, the board showed 7♣6♥2♠4♥5♦. Vanlerberghe had checked to Chen who bet 15,000. That covered his opponent by a small margin and Vanlerberghe eventually called it off.
Chen rolled over the Q♥10♥ for a missed flush draw and Vanlerberghe doubled with A♠3♠ for the bottom end of the straight.
