The Prince of Poker Doubles Before the Break

On the very last hand before the players broke for their break, Scotty Nguyen moved all in from the cutoff for a total of 9,200 holding {A-Hearts}{5-Clubs}. Action then folded around to the big blind, who took a second to consider is decision.

"I hope you have king-queen, baby," said Scotty to his lone opponent, who called and tabled none other than K-Q.

While Scotty's opponent had the cards he wanted him to have, the flop brought three cards he didn't care to see: {Q-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}. Scotty would now need to hit an ace or running straight or flush cards to stay alive. The turn cooperated, bringing the {K-Hearts} which kept Scotty's hopes alive... and when the {J-Hearts} fell on the river, the crowd that had surrounded his table let out a collective "Ohhh!" as Scotty had completed his runner-runner flush to stay alive.

After the hand, the Prince of Poker stacked up just over 20,000 in chips.
