Just 90 Remain

Level 6 : 300/600, 75 ante

Out of the 138 players that started this event we're now down to 90 players with a little less than three hours left to play. The average right now is 30,666 or 51 big blinds.

Haggart Wins a Jackpot Hand

Level 6 : 300/600, 75 ante

There is always at least one hand in a tournament where you hear "jackpot" from across the room. Christian Haggart was the winner of today's. He was all in preflop with kings against his opponents aces.

He was excited to flop a king, since he was the player at risk but his elation soon turned to dismay when the turn came an ace. It was the river king that prompted half the room to get up from their seats to head over to see the excitement.

Instead of out, Haggart is sitting pretty as we play our final 2 1/2 levels of the day.

Where Are They From?

Level 6 : 300/600, 75 ante

The APPT Seoul Main Event drew a crowd of 256 players and the majority, perhaps surprisingly, hails from Japan. The second place nation is China followed by the USA and Canada. When going down the list it's interesting to mention that there's also a player from Vietnam, Malaysia, Romania and no less than four from Mongolia.

Here's a look at all the countries and the amount of players they've provided for this event. Bear in mind that it's not legal for South Koreans to gamble in their own country, so therefor we won't see any home grown talent take this event down.

Wu Takes a Hit and Makes It Back

Level 6 : 300/600, 75 ante
Raymond Wu
Raymond Wu

Team Pokerstars Pro Raymond Wu raised to1,500 from the cutoff and it folded around to the small blind who went all in for his final 10,050. It seemed to be a tough call but one that Wu eventually made.

Wu: {6-Diamonds}{6-Spades}
Small Blind: {a-Hearts}{q-Hearts}

The flop was not kind to Wu when it fell {j-Hearts}{q-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}. The {7-Hearts} turn came and took away one of Wu's outs. It was that out that came when the river {6-Hearts} was dealt. The hand left him with about 17,000.

Fortunately for Wu, he doubled just a few hands later. We didn't see the action but saw chips being pushed his way and the {a-Clubs}{10-Spades} in front of him. It was a nice double up after a tough loss.

Juicy Jams on Honeyman

Level 7 : 400/800, 100 ante
Sixiao 'Juicy' Li
Sixiao 'Juicy' Li

Juicy Li raised to 1,700 from middle position and Ryan Pignatelli called from her immediate left. Dylan Honeyman was next to act and he three-bet to 5,200 and quickly the action folded back to Li.

Li, who made the final table of this event last year placing in sixth, tanked for a bit before making the call. Pignatelli folded and the action went heads up to the flop.

The flop brought out {3-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{8-Spades} and Li lead out for 6,500 and Honeyman made the call. On the turn the {2-Diamonds} hit and Li moved all in for 23,200, which put Honeyman into the tank for quite a while. Eventually Honeyman folded and Li raked in this hefty pot.

Another Double Up For ElkY

Level 7 : 400/800, 100 ante

Team PokerStars Pro Bertrand 'ElkY' Grospellier just moved all in over a raise worth 2,000 and the action quickly folded back to the initial raiser. Grospellier was all in for 14,400 and after a while his opponent made the call.

Grospellier: {6-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}
Opponent: {A-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}

The board ran out {J-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{K-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{7-Spades} and the French superstar received a full double up while still remaining short of the current average.
