Hand #95 - Rajkumar Ramakrishnan

Peter Rho has the button. Scott Stewart is the first in the pot, raising to 150,000. Rajkumar Ramakrishnan, sitting in the small blind, is the only caller.

The flop comes out {J-Spades} {5-Clubs} {5-Hearts}. Ramakrishnan quickly checks to Scott. He cuts several chips out of his stack and bets 225,000. Ramakrishnan does not want to give up; he calls to the {10-Hearts} turn. Again Ramakrishnan checks, but this time Scott checks behind. The river is the {9-Spades}. Both players check. Scott shows {8-Spades} {6-Spades} for nothing but imagination. Ramakrishnan wins the pot with {A-Clubs} {Q-Diamonds}.

Hand #96 - Peter Rho

Rajkumar Ramakrishnan has the button. Peter Rho calls from under the gun and Stewart Scott checks his option. The flop comes {Q-Hearts} {K-Hearts} {4-Spades} and Scott checks to Rho, who bets 75,000. Scott gives it up and Rho wins the pot.

Hand #97 - Elliot Smith

Elliot Smith
Elliot Smith
Elliot Smith has the button. He limps into the pot. Peter Rho checks his option in the big blind after Stewart Scott folds in the small blind. The flop is {6-Diamonds} {4-Clubs} {4-Hearts}. Rho checks to Smith, who bets 75,000. Almost before Smith's chips are in the middle, Rho raises to 200,000. Smith mulls things over for thirty seconds and then calls.

The turn card comes {2-Spades}. As we've seen a few times today, Rho goes into the tank for about a minute as the first to act and then checks. Smith takes far less time to bet 125,000. It's a strangely small bet and seems to confuse Rho. He calls after a minute.

The {9-Clubs} falls on the river. Rho checks to Smith. After thirty five seconds, Smith bets 300,000. Rho tilts his head down in Smith's direction, trying to divine the purpose of Smith's bet. After thirty seconds, he peeks at his cards again, then stands up over the table. Another thirty seconds goes by before Rho counts his stack to see how much he has left behind. He asks the dealer to cut down Smith's bet. She complies

Another glance at Smith, who is stock still. Rho is in the tank for two minutes now. He finally calls. Smith turns over {A-Clubs} {4-Diamonds} fo trip fours. Rho taps the table "nice hand," and mucks his cards.

Hand #99 - Peter Rho

Peter Rho has the button. He opens the pot to 160,000. Elliot Smith, the big blind, is the only caller to a flop of {8-Hearts} {2-Clubs} {A-Diamonds}. Smith checks to Rho. Rho takes thirty seconds before he checks behind. The turn is the {J-Hearts}. For the second street in a row, Smith checks. This time Rho bets 200,000, folding Smith and winning the pot.

A Word on Our Surroundings

The players are not in the poker room today. They're in a ballroom of the Crown Towers which has been specifically set up with all manner of lights and cameras for this final table. The railbirds for each player are separated from the final table area by a door and are following along on monitors set up in the outer room. As a result, whenever any big hands have gone down, the roar of the crowd has come from one room away.

Hand #100 - Stewart Scott

Rajkumar Ramakrishnan has the button. Peter Rho calls under the gun and Ramakrishnan calls as well. Stewart Scott checks his option and the flop comes {5-Spades} {7-Spades} {J-Spades} and all three players check. The {K-Spades} falls on the turn and again they all check. The {J-Hearts} hits the river and it is checked around yet again. Scott's {K-Hearts}{10-Diamonds} is good enough to send the chips in his direction.

Hand #101 - Rajkumar Ramakrishnan

Elliot Smith has the button. It's a three-way limped pot. Stewart Scott is first to act on a flop of all Broadway cards, {Q-Clubs} {K-Spades} {K-Hearts}. He, Peter Rho and Rajkumar Ramakrishnan all check. The turn is the {9-Spades}. All players check again. The river falls {8-Hearts} and they each check one more time.

Ramakrishnan, as last aggressor, shows first. He tables {9-Diamonds} {10-Diamonds} for two pair, kings and nines. The other two players muck their cards and Ramakrishnan takes down the pot.
