Limit Hold'em enthusiasts, hold on tight, for today at Crown, it's the only game on tap. Event 3, a $1,100 Limit Hold'em tournament, is scheduled to get underway at half past midday and is the only individual limit hold'em event of the entire series.

A few changes have been incorporated into this year's structure, all of which were geared toward enhancing the player experience. The most significant modification was the addition of a second day of play. Last year's event was played out in one very full day that didn't wrap up until 5:00 a.m. the following morning. This time around, the tentative plan is to play down to a final table and recommence play tomorrow afternoon.

In addition to the bonus day, players who pony up the $1,100 entry fee this afternoon will be treated to a slightly slower structure than at last year's event, in the form of a brand new 25/25 blind level that has been added to the front end of the structure.

Last year's winner Zachary Gruneberg bested a solid field of 140 runners to take home the $35,000 AUD first prize. The final table at that same event was loaded with notables, including Jesse Maguire, Grant Levy, James Obst, Bruno Portaro, David Bach and Billy 'The Croc' Argyros.

Keep your browser pointed right here to follow all of the action as it happens, as we continue our live coverage of the 2010 Aussie Millions from Crown Casino in Melbourne, Australia.

Stay tuned — the cards will be in the air momentarily!

Shuffle Up and Deal!

Tournament Director Mike Tarr reviewed a few basic tournament rules (including the 'bet and three raises' clause), followed by the traditional 'Shuffle up and deal,' and we're officially underway.

Seat Open

A few of the tables set up for play have begun dealing with more empty seats than occupied ones. Players who buy-in late will be assigned to those stacks that are being blinded away as we speak.

As one of our reporters noted, there are a couple of tables at which only two of the seats have been filled by players and they're playing "heads-up" with seven dead stacks. Talk about easy money!

Who's Here?

It's a small, but quality field here for this event today, with plenty of spare seats still yet to be filled. Some of those already in the thick of the action include Jan Suchanek, Steve Topakas, Joe Cabret, Danny Mountt, David Zhao, Leo Boxell, Barny Boatman, Jai Kemp, Mel Judah, Brian Hull, Martin Cardno and a couple of International visitors making an appearance for the first time in Dan Shak and Annette Obrestad.

No Rest For The Wicked

A late night hasn't worried Trung Tran as he's just taken his seat in today's field. Tran was here until the wee hours of the morning after finishing 4th in the $1,100 Opening Event for a handy $74,295 AUD score.

He's caught some zzzz's and is looking to continue his good form here today.

Birman Cops Tough Draw

While some tables are still battling away short-handed with several dead stacks, one table in particular caught our eye as the table of death.

PokerNews' own Paul Birman was looking forward to mixing it up in some Limit action today, but he wasn't expecting to have to line up against the likes of David Zhao, Jai Kemp, Barny Boatman and Leo Boxell!

A Couple More Late Arrivals

A few more players have trickled in this afternoon as the Crown Poker Room is providing a nice mellow atmosphere, which is rather soothing following the hyped weekend we've just seen.

We've spotted Luke McLean and Bill Jordanou who have recently taken their seats as we currently have 11 tables in action, which should put the field somewhere around the 100-player mark.

Steicke Sighting

After trying his hand at the PokerPro event last night, it appears that David Steicke intends to play a full schedule here at the Aussie Millions. Today, he finds himself dabbling in the art of Limit Holdem, after recently taking his seat on table 30 alongside Brian Hull and Martin Cardno.

Steicke is known for his big pot, power poker approach to the game of No Limit Holdem, where he is able to accumulate mountains of chips, so it will be interesting to see if Steicke can apply the same style and dominate in the Limit format.
