This Sukks

Billy Sukkar, cousin of Joe and Tony Hachem, is down to 7,700 in chips after a major confrontation with an unidentified player at his table.

We only caught the tail end of the hand, with the board showing {J-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{Q-Spades}{3-Clubs}{7-Hearts}. There was about 24,000 in the middle and Sukkar had checked to his opponent.

After a serious minute or two in the tank, Sukkar's opponent spoke up, "OK, I check," tabling a pocket pair of jacks for a full house.

Sukkar mucked, surrendering the hand, but with 77 big blinds, he's got plenty of ammo to work with.

Chris "Moorman1" Moorman in the House

The current world number three online player Chris "Moorman1" Moorman is in the field today.

Moorman who hails from England, has been as high as the top ranked online player in the world. The 23 year old has crushed the online game, winning the 2009 world points leaderboard, but he is yet to breakthrough in a big tournament live.

Still he has sponsorship as a member of the Doyle's Room Brunson Ten that will see him spend more time on the live circuit this year.

If he's going to breakthrough in the Aussie Millions Main Event he wil need to turn things back around after falling to 13,000 in the early stages.

Edmonds Sets Up

Brendan Edmonds
Brendan Edmonds
With a raise to 400 in front of him, Brendan Edmonds made the call to see a flop of {2-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{4-Spades}.

The preflop aggressor fired out 500 before Edmonds popped it up to 1,500. His opponent put in another raise to 4,500 before Edmonds moved all in for his last 10,000 with his opponent making the call.

Edmonds: {2-Clubs}{2-Spades}
Opponent: {A-Diamonds}{A-Clubs}

Edmonds had flopped a set at the right time as his opponent tabled the pocket rockets. The turn was the {5-Clubs} and Edmonds improved to quads on the {2-Hearts} river.

The runner-up of the Opening Event has had a rocky start so far this afternoon in the Main Event, but he's now back up above starting stack with 22,100 chips.

Set Over Set Brings Early End For Carle

On our patrol of the room we noticed that Mitch Carle's seat was empty and we inquired with his table as to what happened.

We were told that Carle got his last chips in on a flop of {10-?}{7-?}{4-?} holding pocket sevens. Unfortunately his opponent held pocket tens, and Carle was busted in a classic cooler.

Netting a Straight

Level 1 : 50/100, 0 ante

Joe Hachem and Tyler Netter just tangled in a small pot that kicked Hachem up to 22,500.

We caught up to the action on the flop, with the board showing {10-Diamonds}{A-Diamonds}{10-Spades}. Hachem led out with a 500 bet and Netter made the call.

The {8-Hearts} fell on the turn and Hachem check-called a 1,125 bet from Netter, sending the hand to the river — {9-Spades}.

Hachem then led out with a 1,700 bet and Netter called, only to see 'Hach' turn over {Q-Spades}{J-Hearts} for a queen-high straight. Netter mucked, leaving himself with approximately 12,500 in chips.

Capra Chips Up Early

A player opened to 250 from the hijack position and Sam Capra made the call in the cutoff. The big blind came along and the three players took a flop of {K-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{5-Clubs}.

The big blind checked to the preflop aggressor who bet 500. Capra made the call as the big blind got out of the way.

The turn was the {Q-Spades} and play checked to Capra who bet 1,100. His opponent made the call.

The river was an unknown brick as both players quickly checked it down. Capra tabled {K-Spades}{j-Hearts} for top pair which was good as his opponent flashed a {Q-?} and mucked.

After his 5th place finish in last year's Aussie Millions Main Event, Capra will be looking for a repeat performance as he starts off on a good note, chipping up to 24,200.

Dong-key Kong

Jonathan 'xMONSTERxDONGx' Karamalikis is back up to 24,000 in chips, due in part to an accidental raise made by one of his opponents in a recent hand:

An unknown player opened with a raise to 250 from under-the-gun and Karamalikis, next to act, kicked it up to 700. Action then folded around to a player in the cutoff who accidentally raised to 1,150, by tossing a chip of the wrong denomination into the middle. The original raiser folded, but Karamalikis stuck around to see the flop come {8-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds}.

Karamalikis led the action on the flop, tossing a 1,200 bet into the middle. His opponent made the call sending the action to the turn -- {K-Diamonds} -- where both players checked.

The river delivered another king (one of the club variety) and Karamalikis fired a 3,000 value bet holding {A-Hearts}{K-Hearts}, good for trips. His opponent made the call and flashed {A-?}{Q-?} before tossing his cards into the muck.

Nothing but Net

Level 1 : 50/100, 0 ante

Tyler Netter has rebounded to 21,500 in chips thanks to a recent double up, after dropping down to as low as 12,000 earlier in the level.

Netter got it all in before the flop holding {K-Diamonds}{K-Spades} against an opponent's {J-Spades}{J-Hearts} and the board ran out {5-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{7-Spades}{8-Clubs}, allowing Netter's kings to reign supreme.

Air Jordan

Bill Jordanou is down to 8,400 in chips after making a call on the river during the following hand that left some of the players at his table shaking their heads:

A player in middle position opened with a raise to 325 from middle position. Another in the cutoff called, as did the small blind, before the action reached Jordanou in the big blind, who kicked it up to 1,700. The player in the cutoff was the only caller and he and Jordanou went heads-up to a {4-Hearts}{3-Spades}{6-Spades} flop.

Jordanou then led out with a 2,025 bet and his opponent made the call, sending the action to the turn -- {Q-Spades} -- where both players checked.

The last card off the deck was the {10-Hearts} and Jordanou fired a 1,000 bet that was raised to 3,500 by his opponent. Jordanou made the call and mucked when his opponent tabled {A-Clubs}{K-Hearts} for nothing but ace-king high.

Rayan Nathan Chips Up

Just before the break, Rayan Nathan chipped up a bit and is currently sitting on 26,500.

There was about 1100 in the pot preflop when the flop came down {3-Spades}{3-Clubs}{5-Hearts}. Nathan's opponent check-called a 650 bet.

The two checked the {5-Clubs} on the turn.

When the {a-Clubs} fell on the river Nathan's opponent bet 1,500 and Nathan made the call tabling {A-?}{Q-?} to take down the pot against his opponent's {A-?}{9-?}.
