Adgee Cuts Boxell Back, Keeton Cut Out

Level 8 : 400/800, 100 ante

Andrew "Adgee" Jeffreys is now up to 100,000 in chips after doubling through Leo Boxell on the feature table, but Sean Keeton wasn't so lucky, falling to Ray Ellis on table 29.

After a big preflop raising war between Boxell and Jeffreys, the money was all-in on a {J-}{5-}{5-} flop; Jeffreys had {A-}{J-} for two pair but Boxell had him dominated with {A-}{A-}. Jeffreys was about to leave after the turn when suddenly, another {j-} appeared on the river, giving him the full house to double up!

"I'd say sorry, but you know ..." Jeffrey said. "It's okay," said Boxell with a smile, "I've already cracked aces twice tonight!" Boxell is still going strong with 61,000 in chips.

A short time later, Keeton moved the last of his money in with {A-}{Q-} against Ellis who called with {A-}{J-}, but Ellis hit the {J-} on the river to put Keeton on the casualty list.

The field has now been reduced to 48 players - only another 24 to go until we get our top 24!

Chips Ahoy!

As the remaining 41 players battle on in the $2,200 No Limit Hold'em Six Handed event, we've come across three new big stacks in the room - those of Bodo Sbrzesny, Ben Vinson and Brendan Edmonds, who are all within 100,000 in chips.

Mike Spilkin has also begun mounting his comeback; having been as low as 1,600 in chips, he's doubled through a few times and is now on 40,000. There seems to be no stopping Ben Delaney either - he's now on 190,000 in chips and climbing!

Unfortunately, the same can't be said for Vesko Zmukic and Grant Levy. Zmukic got the last of his money into the middle with {K-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds} on a flop that read {K-}{6-}{7-Diamonds}, but ran into Sbrzesny's {7-}{7-}. Despite hitting the {5-Diamonds} on the turn for the flush draw, the river {K-} filled up Sbrzesny and sent Zmukic to the rail.

Levy joined him a short time later when he moved the last of his stack into the middle preflop with {A-}{7-}, but failed to improve against the {A-}{K-} of Jim Sachinidis.

Who's Stacking and Who's Lacking?

With only 36 players left, we've got another round of counts for you. Once again, we can report that Ben Delaney is still the chip leader, but Andreas Skovacs and Simon Charett are amongst the latest players to have cracked the century.

Charett acquired his chips in rather fortunate circumstances though, having eliminated Jackson Zheng after his {Q-Diamonds}{J-Hearts} improved to a king-high straight against Zheng's {A-Spades}{Q-Hearts} on the board of {4-Hearts}{K-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{10-Clubs}{Q-Spades}.

Spilkin Says Goodbye, Edmonds Eliminated

Level 9 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

Mike Spilkin and Brendan Edmonds have been the latest players to have hit the rail, leaving just 32 players in this year's Aussie Millions $2,200 No Limit Hold'em Six Handed event.

Earlier, our reporter caught the action between Spilkin, Billy Argyros and Jim Sachinidis on a flop that read {5-Diamonds}{A-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}; Arygros checked from the small blind and Spilkin opened for 4,000. Sachindis called and Argyros folded, leaving it heads-up to the turn of the {7-Hearts}.

Spilkin quickly check-called Sachinidis' bet of 6,000 and then both players checked the river of the {10-Diamonds}. Sachinidis showed down {A-Hearts}{J-Diamonds} and Spilkin threw his hand into the muck. Left with just 8,500 in chips, Spilkin was eliminated a short time later.

At around the same time, the action on table 30 folded to Japan's Waki Waki (perhaps the most awesome name ever), who raised to 3,800 from the hijack position. Edmonds reraised to 9,900 from the small blind and Waki tank-called before Edmonds fired out 11,500 on the flop of {4-Clubs}{J-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}.

"I raise," said Waki, before declaring that he was all-in. Waki then quickly jumped up on his seat and started anxiously walking around and blinking rapidly (it seemed Waki had something caught in his eye). Edmond and the other players at his table laughed nervously.

"Jeez, I don't know how to read this," said Edmonds before making the call, showing down {10-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}. Waki tabled {A-Diamonds}{K-Diamonds} and straightened up. "One time," he said between deep breaths.

The turn of the {3-Hearts} was the right color, but the wrong suit. The river {2-Diamonds} was just what Waki ordered, but his celebrations were rather comical. Waki jumped up in the air, pumped his fists, turned and ran towards the wall and started beating it excitedly! Waki then ran back to the table and cried "Ship it!" as the chips were pushed in his direction.

Waki is now on 146,000 in chips while Edmonds' seat remains empty.
