Jay Tan Eliminated in 7th Place (AU$150,000)

Level 23 : 15,000/30,000, 5,000 ante
Jay Tan - 7th Place
Jay Tan - 7th Place

Patrik Antonius opened to 60,000 from under the gun, Dan Shak called on his direct left, and Jay Tan three-bet to 175,000 on his direct left. The action folded back to Antonius, and he four-bet to 385,000. Shak quickly folded, and Tan moved all in for around one million chips. Antonius snap-called.

Antonius: {k-Spades}{k-Hearts}
Tan: {a-Spades}{q-Diamonds}

The flop was {7-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}, which didn't improve Tan at all. The {6-Hearts} on the turn took away one of her outs, and the {7-Clubs} on the river ender her 2013 Aussie Millions Main Event.

Tan will not best her boyfriend "Hong Kong" Kenny Wong's runner-up finish in 2012, but she will walk away with AU$150,000.

Cabret Sets Up Yan

Level 23 : 15,000/30,000, 5,000 ante

[Removed:17] limped from the cutoff only to have Joseph Cabret three-bet to 80,000 from the button. Both blinds folded, Yan called, and the flop came down {9-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{6-Hearts}. Yan proceeded to check-call a bet of 80,000, the {K-Diamonds} turned, and Yan check-called another bet, this time 175,000. When the {7-Diamonds} completed the board on the river, Yan checked for a third time and then snap-called when Cabret bet 350,000.

Cabret then tabled {9-Spades}{9-Hearts} for a set, and it was good as Yan sent his cards to the muck.

Shak Wins Big One Just Before the Break

Level 23 : 15,000/30,000, 5,000 ante

A big hand just went down, though we're scant on details as our access to the stage is limited. From what we could piece together, there was already a million in the pot when Jarrod Glennon checked the river (we're not sure of the board but know it was paired). Dan Shak then bet 400,000 and Glennon tanked for several minutes before making the call.

Shak then revealed {K-}{K-} for two pair, and it was good as Glennon sent his cards to the muck.
