Badziakouski Versus Chidwick

Level 1 : 200/400, 0 ante

Stephen Chidwick raised to 900 and saw Mikita Badziakouski three-bet from the big blind. Chidwick called.

Badziakouski check-called 2,000 on {A-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds} and check-called another 16,000 on the {6-Hearts} turn. The river {J-Spades} went check-check and Chidwick mucked his {A-}{10-} after Badziakouski showed {A-Diamonds}{K-Clubs} for the rivered straight.

Carrel Beats Shak

Level 1 : 200/400, 0 ante
Sam Greenwood - Charlie Carrel - David Peters
Sam Greenwood - Charlie Carrel - David Peters

Charlie Carrel opened to 1,200 from the button and Dan Shak made the call from the big blind to take action heads-up to a flop of {4-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}.

Both players checked and the dealer peeled off the {7-Clubs} turn which brought another check from Shak and a bet of 1,500 from Carrel, which Shak called.

The {9-Hearts} river brought a third check from Shak and a near pot-sized bet of 5,000 from Carrel. Shak thought it over but did make the call but folded when Carrel turned over {10-Spades}{7-Spades} for a turned two pairs.

Holz Settles In

Level 2 : 300/600, 0 ante

Fedor Holz has won his first hand of the day against Ben Tollerene. Preflop Holz opened the action with a raise to 1,500 and Tollerene called from the button.

Both players checked the {k-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{3-Diamonds} flop taking the action to the {10-Spades} turn. Holz checked for the second time and after nearly chewing through his allotted 30-second clock Tollerene led out for 2,000 and Holz made the call.

Both players checked the {7-Clubs} river and Tollerene turned over {9-Hearts}{9-Clubs} but it was not enough to beat Holz’s {10-Diamonds}{j-Hearts} and the German player takes down his first pot of the day.

Peters Straightens Out Sontheimer

Level 2 : 300/600, 0 ante

David Peters opened the action with a raise to 1,500 from the cutoff and Steffen Sontheimer made the call from the big blind to take action heads-up to a flop of {8-Hearts}{4-Spades}{6-Spades}.

Sontheimer check-called Peters’ 1,800 continuation bet and the {7-Hearts} hit the turn, which Sontheimer then led for 2,200.

Peters made the call with the {5-Diamonds} river putting a straight on the board. Sontheimer led for 11,300 and Peters quickly called, his {a-Clubs}{9-Hearts} giving him a nine-high straight, which was in front of Sontheimer’s {a-Spades}{10-Hearts}.
