Top Pair Good for Chidwick

Level 6 : 200/400, 50 ante

Ben Tollerene raised to 700 from the cutoff and Stephen Chidwick opted to defend his big blind with the flop falling {6-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{j-Clubs}.

Both players checked it through to the {a-Hearts} turn and checked through again to the {k-Clubs} river, which Chidwick led for 900. Tollerene called but mucked when Chidwick turned over {k-Spades}{10-Spades} to take it down.

Carrel's Four is Good Enough

Level 6 : 200/400, 50 ante

Sam Greenwood opened under the gun for 1,000 and on the button, Charlie Carrel three-bet to 3,300. Both blinds folded, Greenwood called. Greenwood check-called 1,800 on {A-Clubs}{7-Spades}{3-Clubs} before both players checked the {4-Diamonds} on the turn and {9-Hearts} on the river. Carrel showed {K-Clubs}{4-Clubs} and Greenwood mucked.

The next hand, Carrel opened for 750 from first position. Small blind Ben Tollerene and big blind Sam Greenwood called. All three of them checked the {Q-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{3-Clubs} flop and {K-Spades} turn. Tollerene checked the {8-Diamonds} on the river and Greenwood bet 6,325 with just 300 behind. Carrel folded right away, Tollerene followed suit after thinking about it for about 20 seconds.

Carrel and Chidwick Tangle Twice

Level 6 : 200/400, 50 ante

Stephen Chidwick and Charlie Carrel have just played a couple of decent pots against each other with Carrel coming out on top in both.

In the first Chidwick opened to 800 from the cutoff and Carrel called from the big blind.

Carrel checked the {10-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{9-Diamonds} flop over to Chidwick who bet 600, only to see Carrel check raise to 2,000.

Chidwick called and the turn came down {j-Diamonds} which brought a 4,000 bet from Carrel and a fold from Chidwick.

Carrel took down the next hand preflop when action folded around to him in the small blind and he raised to 1,400 and Chidwick folded the big blind.

The second sizable pot happened the next hand with Carrel making it 1,000 to go from the button with Chidwick raising to 2,700 from the big blind.

Carrel called and the flop came down {6-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}{3-Spades}. This brought a continuation bet of 2,200 from Chidwick and a call from Carrel.

The {9-Spades} turn brought a check from Chidwick and Carrel put him all in with a bet of 20,000. Chidwick tanked but folded and Carrel won without showdown.

Carrel Doubles Tollerene, Greenwood Busts

Level 6 : 200/400, 50 ante
Sam Greenwood
Sam Greenwood

Ben Tollerene found himself short after losing a pot to Charlie Carrel after raising preflop and firing the flop and turn but checking the river on a board reading {3-Spades}{2-Spades}{2-Clubs} {k-Spades}{7-Clubs}, mucking his hand quickly when Carrel turned over {k-Diamonds}{6-Hearts} to win with top pair.

Tollerene raised to 900 on the button the next hand and Sam Greenwood called from the small blind before Carrel squeezed to 15,000 from the big blind. Tollerene called all in for his tournament life and after Greenwood got out of the way the cards were turned over.

Ben Tollerene: {6-Clubs}{6-Hearts}
Charlie Carrel: {a-Spades}{2-Spades}

The board ran out {4-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}{4-Spades} {4-Hearts} {k-Spades} to grant Tollerene the double.

The very next hand Tollerene opened with a raise to 900 in the cutoff and Greenwood moved all-in for 8,025 from the small blind. Carrel folded the big blind and Tollerene made the call.

Ben Tollerene: {q-Spades}{j-Spades}
Sam Greenwood: {a-Hearts}{9-Clubs}

The {j-Hearts}{j-Clubs}{4-Spades} flop put Tollerene firmly in front and while the {k-Clubs} turn and {a-Clubs} river fell to pair Greenwood's ace it was not enough to beat Tollerene's trip jacks.
