A short-stacked Gheystler Rivas moved in for his last 18,000 with over the top of a Jonas Gjelstad open and the Norwegian made the call with .
The flop saw Rivas keep his lead but the appearance of the turn card counterfeited Rivas’ two pairs and crushed the Australian’s players dreams of a deep run. Rivas headed to the rail while Gjelstad climbed to 125,000.
The board read and Tony Mladenovski checked in the cutoff over to Jai Kemp on the button. Kemp fired for 15,000 and Mladenovski called as they went to the river.
Mladenovski checked it again and with Kemp unable to pull the trigger he opted for a check behind.
Kemp:
Mladenovski:
Kemp had bricked both flush and straight draws which meant Mladenovski’s ace-queen high was good. With that Mladenovski moves up to over 300,000.
We arrived in time to see an unhappy Jeff Bucher packing his bag and Dean Blatt stacking up a lot of chips so asked Bucher what had happened.
Bucher told us how he had not seen a set all day before getting what he wished for and then wishing he hadn’t.
Contemplating a Dean Blatt raise Bucher looked down to see pocket threes with the tournament clock reading 13:33 and, seeing this as a sign the Kiwi made the call.
When the auspicious flop fell Bucher thought all his prayers had been answered and unsurprisingly all the chips ended up in the middle. Unfortunately for Bucher, Blatt had also flopped a set holding pocket sixes and the case three failed to make an appearance to end Bucher’s Main Event.
The player under the gun raised to 4,400 and was called by the player in the cutoff before Tino Lechich raised to 15,000 from the small blind. The original raiser called and the cutoff folded.
The flop came and Lechich announced all in for 87,000. His opponent quickly called with 36,600 behind.

Lechich found himself behind with the under pair and found no help as the board ran out the and to see him drop to 50,000 in chips.
Daniel Neilson raised to 4,200 under the gun before facing a three-bet to 11,500. Neilson called and the two players went to a paired flop of .
Neilson checked it over to the three-bettor who continued for 6,500. After a call from Neilson the dealer turned the . The action went check check and the arrived on the end.
Again it was checked through and the last aggressor tabled for some showdown value on the river, but Neilson had that beat showing for two pair on the turn.
On a flop of the player in the big blind checked. Thomas Muehloecker then bet out 5,600 from middle position and was called by Erik Seidel in the hijack. The big blind folded.
The turn brought the and Muehloecker quickly bet out 16,500. Seidel called moments later.
The completed the board and Muehloecker paused for a moment and splashed out 36,500. Seidel went into the tank for over a minute then called.
Muehloecker rolled over his for top pair but it was no good as Seidel revealed his for two pair and the winning hand.
