Anna Wroblewski Arrives....

Shane Warne and Anna Wroblewski
Shane Warne and Anna Wroblewski
Anna Wroblewski arrived 40 minutes late. She wandered around looking for her table and took her seat... to the left of Shane Warne. We're pretty sure she has no idea about Warne's significane in the cricket world, and we're also certain that he has no idea that the "Poker Pixie" made two final tables at the Aussie Millions so far this year. Alex Kravchenko is also at that table... which we'll keep an eye on for sure.

Annette_15 Takes a Hit

Annette "Annette_15 " Oberstad raised to 300. She got two callers. The flop came down {8-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}. She bet 700. Leon Chang, from the big blind, check-raised to 2,050. Annette_15 called. The turn was the {K-Spades}. Chang bet 3,000 and Annette_15 folded. Chang won the pot. Annette_15 slipped to 15,000.

Sam Korman Unlucky Early

Sam Korman was looking in great shape to claim an early elimination when he held pocket queens against a short-stacked John Tabatabai holding pocket jacks.

The flop was a dry {8-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{6-Diamonds} but the {J-Spades} on the turn gave Tabatabai a set. The {9-Spades} on the river allowed Tabatabai to double up to his original starting stack, leaving a disgusted Korman with only around 11,000 in chips.

Unofficial Numbers: 270 Runners?

There are 270 runners (unconfirmed) in today's field. That would put the main event entrants at approximately 780 players. That number is also unconfirmed. Stay tuned for official numbers including payout information, which should be released in a couple of hours.

Ti Tran Eliminated

Ti Tran raised 300. Tony Hachem asked Tran, "How much do you have left?"

Tran had 1,800. Hachem raised to 2,500. Tran was more than happy to push the rest of his chips in and risk his tournament life with {K-Spades}{K-Clubs}. You can imgaine his disappointment when Hachem tabled {10-Spades}{9-Diamonds}. The board ran out {K-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{J-Diamonds}. When the Jack spiked on the river, Hachem was overheard shouting, "You beauty!"

Tran was eliminated.
